MY BLOG IS MOVING
Hi girls,
Hoi meiden,
A week ago I announced that there where coming up some big changes. I decided that this blog is no longer fitting with my new ideas and that's why I started a new blog at www.thecolorpaletteblog.blogspot.com
I hope I can all welcome you there and I want to thank you all for following me here.
This blog will excist for a few more weeks, but just to help people out who want to follow my new blog. It won't be active on itself anymore.
Een week geleden heb ik aangekondigd dat er veranderen zouden optreden binnenkort. Ik heb besloten dat deze blog niet langer past bij mijn ideeen en daarom ben ik een nieuwe blog gestart op www.thecolorpaletteblog.blogspot.com
Ik hoop dat ik jullie daar ook weer kan verwelkomen en ik wil jullie allemaal erg bedanken dat jullie me hier hebben gevolgd.
Deze blog zal nog een aantal weken blijven bestaan, maar alleen om mensen wegwijs te maken naar mijn nieuwe blog. Het zal niet meer zelf actief zijn.

New Brand: BB Couture

I am soooo proud to announce that The Color Palette is the new official importer of BB Couture in The Netherlands. This brand is so unique and that's why I think it is so special, so you girls should come and check it out.
Ik ben zooooo trots dat ik kan medelen dat The Color Palette de nieuwe officiele importeur van BB Couture in Nederland is. Dit merk is zo uniek en daarom vind ik het zo speciaal, dus meiden jullie moeten echt eens een kijkje komen nemen.

Other nice news, oh wel I think it is really nice, but I don't know how you feel about it. I started with 'Testers' I don't know what the right name is in English. I want to make a big collection of swatches, but ofcourse I don't have all those nailpolishes. But I pick 5 colors from every brand I sell to swatch, and I will sell them for a reduced price. This is interesting, because the buyer can get cheaper nailpolish and I can make all the swatches. When one is sold I swatch the next color and so on until I have finished everything I have. After, probably, a long time I hope to have everything swatched of the next brands: BB Couture, China Glaze, Color Club, Essie, Konad, Milani, Nubar, Orly and Zoya. And I am still busy with six or seven other brands. It's going to be big! :D I hope you think it is a good idea and I hope that it makes shopping easier. You don't have to search for swatches anymore. Oh and the last new thing is that we have a new tent-kinda-thing for making the pictures. Ander leuk nieuws, ach ik vind het in ieder geval heel erg leuk, maar ik weet niet hoe jullie er over denken. Ik ben begonnen met 'Testers'. De bedoeling is dat ik een grote collectie wil maken van swatches, maar natuurlijk heb ik niet alle nagellakken. Maar ik kies er telkens 5 uit per merk dat ik verkoop om te swatchen, en vervolgens verkoop ik deze voor een gereduceerde prijs. Dit is interessant, want de koper is goedkoper uit en ik kan alle swatches maken. Wanneer er een tester is verkocht zal ik een nieuwe kleur swatchen enzovoort tot ik alles heb gehad wat ik heb. Na verloop van tijd, zal waarschijnlijk erg lang duren, hoop ik dat ik alles geswatcht heb van de volgende merken: BB Couture, China Glaze, Color Club, Essie, Konad, Milani, Nubar, Orly en Zoya. En ik ben op dit moment nog druk bezig met zes of zeven andere merken. Het wordt echt groots! :D Ik hoop dat jullie dit net zo'n goed idee vinden als ikzelf en ik hoop dat het winkelen hierdoor vergemakkelijkt wordt. Je hoeft niet alle swatches los meer op te zoeken. Ow en het laatste nieuwtje is dat we een soort tent-achtig-ding hebben binnengekregen om betere foto's te maken. That means that I can create an very large collection of swachtes and they will be in my shop and they will be on my blog so if you are looking for some colors of collections it's easy to find. They ones I used to swatch will be sold for a reduced price (except for the ones I own myself ofcourse).
Er zullen een hoop veranderingen plaats vinden de komende tijd! Want van alle merken die ik verkoop (China Glaze, Color Club, Essie, Konad, Nubar, Orly en Zoya) zal ik swatches gaan maken. Dit betekent dat ik na verloop van tijd een enorm grote collectie van swatches zal hebbenen deze zullen te zien zijn in mijn winkel en op mijn blog, dus als je op zoek bent naar een bepaalde kleur of collectie dan is het makkelijk te vinden. China Glaze - Light As Air

Hoi meiden,
You know I have two lovely cats. My boyfriend had also two cats and I never thought that I would like other cats than my own so much. They are also so cute and funny... but last sunday we found the oldest, Bommel, he past away. It is not even my own cat, but I feel so sad. It was such a great cat so charming.
Jullie weten dat ik twee lieve katten heb. Mijn vriend had ook twee katten en ik had nooit gedacht dat ik andere katten dan die van mezelf ook zo leuk zou kunnen vinden. Ze zijn zo schattig en grappig... maar afgelopen zondag hebben we de oudste, Bommel, gevonden, overleden. Het is niet eens mijn eigen kat, maar ik voel me echt verdrietig erdoor. Het was echt een geweldige kat, echt een charmeur.
I was looking for a polish that is matching the situation. I thought China Glaze - Light As Air is a good one:

The Up & Away Collection is absolutely great. All the colors are perfect creams. Maybe the colors are not original, but I really like it because those twelve colors are the basics for alot of beautiful manicures.
De Up & Away Collectie is absoluut geweldig. Alle kleuren hebben een perfecte creme finish. Misschien zijn de kleuren niet origineel, maar ik vind het leuk dat er gewoon twaalf kleuren zijn die de basis vormen voor vele mooie manicures.

China Glaze - Dreamsicle
Hi everyone,
Hoi allemaal,
I just returned from my holiday to Greece. I went with a friend to Samos. It was very nice and I got a nice tan. But I missed my boyfriend, my cats, my webshop, my blog and my family. So it was a nice time, but I am happy to be back again.
Ik ben net terug komen van mijn vakantie in Griekenland. Ik ben met een vriendin naar Samos geweest. Het was erg leuk en ik heb nu een mooi kleurtje opgedaan. Maar ik miste mijn vriend, mijn katten, mijn webshop, mijn blog en mijn familie. Het was een leuke tijd, maar ik ben ook weer blij om terug te zijn.
I am still in the sunny mood so that's why I want to show you China Glaze - Dreamsicle:

I love orange alot, but on the nails it is not always a nice color. Plus when you wear anything orange here in The Netherlands everybody thinks it is a national day or something. On Queensday last april I used this nailpolish. It is an amazing glitter and it is orange. It is a little more sheer than I expected. But I don't really care, I use another orange as a base and then Dreamsicle for a stunning result. In the picture it is only Dreamsicle.
Ik hou erg veel van oranje, maar op je nagels is het niet altijd een mooie kleur. Plus als je het draagt hier in Nederland denkt iedereen dat er een nationale dag is of zo. Met koninginnedag in april heb ik deze lak gebruikt. Het is prachtig en de glitters zijn fantastisch. Het is wel een beetje sheer, meer dan ik verwacht had. Maar dat maakt me niet zoveel uit, ik gebruik gewoon een andere oranje als basis en dan Dreamsicle voor een waanzinnig resultaat. Op de foto is alleen Dreamsicle afgebeeld.

Etos - 005 (pink)

I love brands like China Glaze, Zoya, Nubar and Essie and many more, but I thought it would be nice to show a nailpolish from a local drugstore. Two years ago I wasn't busy with nailpolish and I bought this one and I was very happy with it LOL :p Really I can't imagine anymore why!
Ik hou van merken zoals China Glaze, Zoya, Nubar en Essie en vele andere, maar ik dacht dat het wel leuk zou zijn om een iets te laten zien van een lokale drogisterij. Twee jaar geleden was ik nog helemaal niet bezig met nagellak enzo en toen heb ik deze gekocht en ik was er erg blij mee LOL :p Ik kan me echt niet meer voorstellen waarom!

It is from Etos and well.. I don't need to explain why I don't like it anymore. This is 3 coats and it still doesn't cover the nails. The structure is also a bit weird and while I am writing this.. the color is also weird... I can't believe I really liked this. It's just what you know about what is available, because I would never buy another nailpolish at Etos because it may be cheap, but it is useless.
Het is van de Etos en tja.. Ik hoef niet uit te leggen waarom ik het niet meer leuk vind. Ditis 3 laagjes en het dekt voor geen meter. De structuur van de lak is ook een beetje vreemd en nu ik dit aan het schrijven ben.. de kleur is ook een beetje vreemd... Ik kan niet geloven dat ik dit ooit leuk heb gevonden. Het gaat er echt om of je weet wat er verkrijgbaar is en anders neem je veel sneller genoegen met iets zoals dit, want ik zou echt nooit meer een lakje bij de Etos kopen, want het is dan wel goedkoop, maar ook nutteloos.

Claire's Cosmetics - Happy - Earthy

It feels great to be blogging again! :)
Sometimes it is time for a change and that time is now. I am going to change my layout and the way I make my pictures. It's going to be alot of work, but I don't have to study or to work the next few weeks so I have alot of time to try things out. Do you prefer a background color or something? Let me know!

Soms is het tijd voor verandering en die tijd is nu gekomen. Ik ga binnenkort mijn layout veranderen en de manier waarop ik de foto's maak. Het zal veel werk zijn, maar ik hoef nu toch niet te leren of te werken dus ik heb de komende weken veel tijd om eens wat dingetjes uit te proberen. Hebben jullie misschien een voorkeur voor een achtergrond kleur ofzo? Laat het me weten!
Today I want to show you a mood polish of Claire's Cosmetics - Happy - Earthy:
Vandaag wil ik jullie een mood polish van Claire's Cosmetics laten zien Happy - Earthy:

These are so much fun! To be honest the quality is not as good as China Glaze or Zoya, but it is just fun :) The most important thing about this kind of nailpolishes: it works. The concept is very funny, but should be able to see the result. That is exactly what you see with this one. There is one little comment... because it works with hot and cold... if you life in a warm country.. you just see the 'hot' version. Another point: your nails need to be long enough to see the result. Conclusion: I love it, but you need to keep these two point in mind when you buy it.
Deze lakjes zijn zo leuk! Om eerlijk te zijn is de kwaliteit niet zo goed als China Glaze of Zoya, maar het is gewoon grappig :) Het belangrijkste met dit soort nagellak is: dat het werkt. Het concept is erg grappig, maar je moet wel het resultaat terug kunnen zien. En dat is precies wat je bij deze ziet. Er is wel een klein puntje waar je rekening mee moet houden... want het werkt met heet en koud... als je in een warm land woont.. dan zie je dus alleen de 'warme' versie. Een ander puntje: je nagels moeten lang genoeg zijn om het resultaat te zien. Conclusie: ik vind het erg leuk, maar je moet de twee bovenstaande punten wel eventjes in gedachten houden wanneer je van plan bent ze te kopen.

Sometimes it is time for a change and that time is now. I am going to change my layout and the way I make my pictures. It's going to be alot of work, but I don't have to study or to work the next few weeks so I have alot of time to try things out. Do you prefer a background color or something? Let me know!

Soms is het tijd voor verandering en die tijd is nu gekomen. Ik ga binnenkort mijn layout veranderen en de manier waarop ik de foto's maak. Het zal veel werk zijn, maar ik hoef nu toch niet te leren of te werken dus ik heb de komende weken veel tijd om eens wat dingetjes uit te proberen. Hebben jullie misschien een voorkeur voor een achtergrond kleur ofzo? Laat het me weten!
Today I want to show you a mood polish of Claire's Cosmetics - Happy - Earthy:
Vandaag wil ik jullie een mood polish van Claire's Cosmetics laten zien Happy - Earthy:

These are so much fun! To be honest the quality is not as good as China Glaze or Zoya, but it is just fun :) The most important thing about this kind of nailpolishes: it works. The concept is very funny, but should be able to see the result. That is exactly what you see with this one. There is one little comment... because it works with hot and cold... if you life in a warm country.. you just see the 'hot' version. Another point: your nails need to be long enough to see the result. Conclusion: I love it, but you need to keep these two point in mind when you buy it.
Deze lakjes zijn zo leuk! Om eerlijk te zijn is de kwaliteit niet zo goed als China Glaze of Zoya, maar het is gewoon grappig :) Het belangrijkste met dit soort nagellak is: dat het werkt. Het concept is erg grappig, maar je moet wel het resultaat terug kunnen zien. En dat is precies wat je bij deze ziet. Er is wel een klein puntje waar je rekening mee moet houden... want het werkt met heet en koud... als je in een warm land woont.. dan zie je dus alleen de 'warme' versie. Een ander puntje: je nagels moeten lang genoeg zijn om het resultaat te zien. Conclusie: ik vind het erg leuk, maar je moet de twee bovenstaande punten wel eventjes in gedachten houden wanneer je van plan bent ze te kopen.

China Glaze - Spontaneous

Lieve lezers,
First of all, sorry sorry sorry for not blogging for so long. It's already been a month since the last time. Everything is so hectic lately. I was doing my last exams and I have a boyfriend almost two months now and last week I was ready to blog again and then I got the flu or something like that, it's almost over now. I can't wait to blog everyday again, to be honest I really missed it. That's why I want to thank my followers for still visiting my blog and for all your comments! Thanks!
Ten eerste, sorry sorry sorry voor het niet bloggen. Het is alweer bijna een maand geleden sinds de laatste keer. Alles is zo hectisch de afgelopen tijd. Ik moest mijn laatste tentamens maken en ik heb een vriend nu bijna twee maanden en de afgelopen week was ik helemaal klaar om weer te bloggen en kreeg ik de griep of iets wat er op lijkt, het is nu bijna over. Ik kan echt niet wachten om weer elke dag te bloggen en om eerlijk te zijn heb ik het echt gemist. Daarom wil ik mijn volgers bedanken dat zij nog steeds mijn blog hebben bezocht en comments hebben achter gelaten! Dank jullie wel!
More good news since two days I am official 'Bachelor of Health Sciences'. Sounds good right? :) It means I finished the first three years of my study, next year I start with my Master Health Science.
Meer goed nieuws sinds twee dagen ben ik officieel 'Bachelor of Health Sciences'. Klinkt goed he? :) Het betekend dat ik de eerste drie jaar van mijn studie heb afgerond, volgend jaar start ik met mijn Master Health Science.

I love China Glaze so much... but you all know that already.. and If you read my blog for a while you know I love purple also alot. So a purple that is made by China Glaze must be perfect and that is exactly what Spontaneous is! It is not from a brand new collection and that is what I also like about it. Because most blogs are about the newest colors which is absolutely nice to read, but sometimes it is good to look back to older polishes because there are some great ones out there! :) What do you think about an older polish like Spontaneous?
Ik hou zoveel van China Glaze... maar dat wisten jullie allang.. en als je mn blog al een poosje leest dan weet je ook dat ik erg van paars hou. Dus een paars die gemaakt is door China Glaze moet dan perfect zijn en dat is precies wat Spontaneous is! Het is niet van een gloednieuwe collectie en dat vind ik ook leuk hieraan. Want de meeste blogs focussen op de nieuwste kleuren, wat erg leuk is om te lezen, maar soms is het ook goed om terug te blikken op de wat oudere lakken, want er zitten echt een aantal mooie tussen! :) Wat vind jij van een ouder lakje zoals Spontaneous?

1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY - China Glaze - LOL

Lieve lezers,
Today is a big day! It is one big anniversary! Because today my lovely cat Toulouse is 1 year and my blog exists also 1 year! I really love to blog about my hobby and my passion. I hope you all like to read it and I will go on next year! Let it be another year full of nailpolish and beautiful nails!
Vandaag is een grote dag! Het is een grote verjaardag! Want vandaag is mijn lieve katje Toulouse 1 jaar en mijn blog bestaat ook 1 jaar! Ik ben gek op het bloggen over mijn hobby en mijn passie. Ik hoop dat jullie het leuk vinden om te lezen en komend jaar ga ik er gewoon mee door! Laat het maar weer een leuk jaar worden vol nagellak en mooie nagels!

Omdat het vandaag een speciale dag is wil ik jullie graag een speciale lak laten zien. Persoonlijk vind ik hem echt zoooo mooi: China Glaze - LOL:

I just love the OMG collection of China Glaze. The holo's are very subtle and when there is no light the color are very light, so you can wear it also to work! But ofcourse with the sunlight on your nails it is the best! LOL is the purple one and I love it! :D Unfortunately they are discontinued, so you are very lucky if you can get your hands on this one. Lucky me, I bought the whole collection, just before they stopped!

Ik ben gek op de OMG collectie van China Glaze. De holo's zijn heel subtiel en als er geen licht is dan wordt de kleur heel licht, dus je kan het ook gewoon dragen op je werk! Maar natuurlijk met het zonlicht op je nagels is het het beste! LOL is de paarse en ik ben er helemaal weg van! :D Jammer genoeg worden ze niet meer geproduceerd, dus als je deze nog kan krijgen mag je jezelf gelukkig prijzen. Gelukkig voor mij, ik had net de hele collectie gekocht, vlak voordat de collectie gestopt werd!

It is so busy the last few weeks! But I am almost done with the bachelor part of my study and then I have finally some vacation and I promise I will blog everyday again ;) For now I got the results of last months question: What is your favorite color of the China Glaze - Up & Away Collection? The result is not really what I expected but that is even more fun! Let's take a look:

Maar ik ben bijna klaar met het bachelor gedeelte van mijn studie en dan heb ik eindelijk wat vakantie en ik beloofdat ik dan weer elke dag zal bloggen ;) Voor nu heb ik de resultaten van de poll van afgelopen maand met de vraag: Wat is je favoriete kleur van de China Glaze - Up & Away Collectie? De resultaten waren niet helemaal wat ik verwacht had, dus dat is nog leuker! Laten we kijken:

Artdeco - 90

Hoi allemaal
Unbelieveble how someone can make you feel! I can't share too much details at this moment, but when it is possible I tell you the whole story. A friend of my offered to make a movie about it ;)
Ongelovelijk hoe iemand je kan laten voelen! Ik kan nog niet veel details vertellen op dit moment, maar zodra het kan vertel ik jullie het hele verhaal. Een vriendin van me boodt aan om er een film van te maken ;) kan je nagaan.
Today I am wearing a boring nailpolish of Artdeco, I thought it would be nice to wear something different than China Glaze or O.P.I., but I was wrong. Artdeco - 90:
Vandaag draag ik een saai lakje van Artdeco, ik dacht dat het wel leuk zou zijn om weer iets anders te dragen dan China Glaze of O.P.I., maar ik had t mis. Artdeco - 90:

I don't have to say so much, exept that it is an old old old grandma color. There is a little glitter/shimmer in the bottle, but non on the nail. Plus doesn't really cover, well I could have used another layer. But still this isn't a good color for me.
Ik heb er niet zoveel over te zeggen, behalve dat het een oud oud oud oma kleurtje is. Er is een klein beetje glitter/shimmer in het flesje, maar niets op de nagel. Plus dat het niet goed dekt, maar ik had nog wel een extra laagje kunnen gebruiken. Maar dan nog, dit is geen kleur voor mij.

Diamond Cosmetics - Sparkling Sherry

Today my favorite Diamond Cometics nailpolish. It is called Sparkling Sherry. This is just the best red/pink glitter nailpolish of all times.
Vandaag mijn favoriete Diamond Cosmetics nagellak. Het heet Sparkling Sherry. Dit is gewoon de beste rood-roze glitter nagellak die er bestaat.

Diamond Cosmetics is pretty cheap in The Netherlands, always nice, and it is very good nailpolish, even better! It is a one-coater and the dryingtime is so fast absolutely great. Personally I don't really like red nailpolish, but this one stole my heart. I really recommend it to everyone.

Rimmel - First Class

Today I want to show you Rimmel - First Class. It is one of my favorite Rimmel nailpolishes. Personally I don't really like gold with my skintone, but this one is great!
Vandaag wil ik jullie Rimmel - First Class laten zien. Het is een van mijn favorite Rimmel nagellakken. Persoonlijk hou ik niet echt van goud, aangezien het niet bij mijn huidskleur past, maar deze is super!

First Class is a gold brown shimmer and like I said gold doesn't match my skintone, but this one does. Application is great because of the big brush, it is almost impossible to make a mistake. It is pretty long lasting, because when I teach it is always the best test if the nailpolish remains in a good state, and this one absolutely passed the test! I don't like the removing part so I am always very happy when it goes fast and without alot of effort. That discribes First Class. Love it!
First Class is een goud bruine shimmer en zoals ik al zei goud matcht niet met mijn huidskleur, maar deze wel. De applicatie is heel goed vanwege het grote kwastje, het is bijna onmogelijk om een fout te maken. Het blijft ook best lang zitten, de grootste test voor mij is of de nagellak er op blijft zitten als ik lesgeef, want er stoot behoorlijk wat tegenaan en als het dan als nog netjes blijft dan is het voor mij geslaagd. First Class is absoluut door deze test heen! Ik hou niet van het verwijderen dus ik ben altijd erg blij als het snel gaat en als het weinig moeite kost. Dat omschrijft First Class precies voor mij. Ben dr gek op!

Today I want to show you Rimmel - First Class. It is one of my favorite Rimmel nailpolishes. Personally I don't really like gold with my skintone, but this one is great!
Vandaag wil ik jullie Rimmel - First Class laten zien. Het is een van mijn favorite Rimmel nagellakken. Persoonlijk hou ik niet echt van goud, aangezien het niet bij mijn huidskleur past, maar deze is super!

First Class is a gold brown shimmer and like I said gold doesn't match my skintone, but this one does. Application is great because of the big brush, it is almost impossible to make a mistake. It is pretty long lasting, because when I teach it is always the best test if the nailpolish remains in a good state, and this one absolutely passed the test! I don't like the removing part so I am always very happy when it goes fast and without alot of effort. That discribes First Class. Love it!
First Class is een goud bruine shimmer en zoals ik al zei goud matcht niet met mijn huidskleur, maar deze wel. De applicatie is heel goed vanwege het grote kwastje, het is bijna onmogelijk om een fout te maken. China Glaze - Pink Underground

Sometimes you think that nothing could go better, but somehow somthing or someone can ruin it all. Well that happened to me yesterday. I met this guy and he is great and we completely match, but a friend of us has got big problems with us being together. I absolutely don't know where it's going to end, but at this moment it doesn't look good. Does someone have the same experience? What did you do to fix it?
Soms denk je wel eens dat het allemaal niet meer stuk kan, maar soms is er iets of iemand die het in een klap kan ruineren. Nou dat is mij dus gisteren overkomen. Ik ben deze man tegen gekomen en hij is echt geweldig en we matchen volledig, maar een wederzijdse vriend heeft er grote problemen mee als we iets beginnen samen. Ik heb absoluut geen idee waar dit gaat eindigen, maar op dit moment ziet het er niet zo rooskleurig uit. Is dit iemand wel eens eerder overkomen? Wat heb je gedaan om het te fixen?
Well I got to do something with my day, so I worked on my paper and I did my nails. Pink always cheers me up so I used China Glaze - Pink Underground:
Nou ik moest iets doen met mijn dag, dus ik heb gewerkt aan mijn paper en heb mijn nagels gedaan. Roze vrolijkt me altijd op dus ik heb China Glaze - Pink Underground gebruikt:

Pink Underground is the pink color from the Operation Color Collection. It has got a little violet/blue shimmer in it which makes it special. Like almost all my China Glaze lacquers it's great. The color is real pink and opaque in 2 coats. The shimmer is awesome and it is long lasting. Plus this is a great base to stamp on!

Pink Underground is de roze kleur van de Operation Color Collectie. Het heeft een kleine violet/blauwe shimmer wat het speciaal maakt. Zoals bijna al mijn China Glaze lakjes is deze ook super. De kleur is echt roze en het dekt in 2 coats. De shimmer is geweldig en het blijft ook nog eens mooi lang zitten. Plus het is een geweldige basis om op te stempelen!
