BM08 Koninginnedag 2011

Lieve lezers,

It is a little late, i know i know, but I still wanted to show you my manicure on Queensday! It was the best day ever! I went to the market, 7 o'clock... and till 5 o'clock in the afternoon I painted nails, non stop. It was such a populair attraction and so much fun to do, so I will be there again next year girls!

Het is een beetje laat, ik weet het ik weet het, maar ik wilde nog mijn manicure van Koninginnedag laten zien! Het was een super dag! Ik ging naar de vrijmarkt, om ongeveer 7 uur sochtends... en tot 5 uur smiddags heb ik non stop nagels gelakt. Het was echt een hele populaire attractie en zo ontzettend leuk om te doen, dus volgend jaar ben ik er weer meiden!

I totally love oranje and there isn't a better day to use it then on Queensday! I choose China Glaze - Breakin, simple but beautiful orange. Then I stamped the crowns in the colors of the Dutch flag: red, white, blue. Super simple, but super fun and effective for a day like this. Can't wait till next year!

Ik ben helemaal gek op oranje en er is geen betere dag om het te gebruiken dan met Koninginnedag! Ik heb gekozen voor China Glaze - Breakin, simpel maar mooi oranje. Daarna heb ik kroontjes er op gestempeld in de kleuren van de Nederlandse vlag: rood, wit, blauw. Super simpel, maar super leuk en effectief op een dag als deze. Kan niet wachten tot volgend jaar!

M12 Purple Snowman Panic

Hi dear readers

Hoi lieve lezers

How is your christmas so far? Yesterday was great. I love to be with my grandparents and with other family. And I really know that it is about being together, but they get me so many great presents that I have to tell about it! I got tickets for 4 (!!!) musicals! The first will be We Will Rock You. In january I go to La Cage Aux Folles. In february or march I go to Urinetown and in july I go to petticoat. It is just amazing! I love musicals so much so a better gift then this doesn't exist!

Hoe is jullie kerst tot zo ver? Gisteren van fantastisch. Ik hou er van om bij mijn opa en oma te zijn met de andere familie. En ik weet dat het gaat om het samen zijn, maar ze hebben me allemaal zulke gave cadeau's gegeven dat ik er over moet vertellen! Ik heb tickets gekregen voor 4 (!!!) musicals! De eerste wordt We Will Rock You. In januari ga ik naar La Cage Aux Folles. In februari of maart ga ik naar Urinetown en in juli ga ik naar Petticoat. Het is gewoon geweldig! Ik ben gek op musicals dus een beter cadeau bestaat er gewoon niet!

Very simple but cute manicure. After three layers of China Glaze - Purple Panic, I used the snowman on image plate M12. I stamped with Konad - White.

Hele simpele maar schattige manicure. Na drie laagjes van China Glaze - Purple Panic, heb ik de sneeuwman van image plate M12 gebruikt. Ik heb gestempeld met Konad - White.

M12 Ruby Science Christmas

First of all: Merry Christmas to everyone!

Ten eerste: Fijne kerst allemaal!

I am very curious how other people celebrate christmas. This is what I am going to do today. First of all everybody will dress up in their pretty clothes and then with our family we sit down our christmas tree and give presents to each other and have some nice chocolate and other christmas candy. After that we go to my grandpa and grandma and there are also presents for each other and we finish with a great diner. Presents are always nice, but for us that is not what christmas is about. It's about being together with the ones you love!

Ik ben heel benieuwd hoe andere mensen kerstmis vieren. Dit is wat ik in ieder geval ga doen vandaag. Eerst komt iedereen is z'n mooie kleren en dan gaan we gezamelijk bij de kerstboom zitten en geven cadeautjes aan elkaar en er is altijd wat lekkers bij zoals chocolade, schuimpjes en andere lekkere dingetjes. Daarna gaan we naar mijn opa en oma en ook daar geven we cadeautjes aan elkaar. De cadeautjes zijn altijd leuk, maar voor ons is dat niet waar kerst omdraait. Het gaat er om dat je samen bent met degene waar je van houdt!

Ofcourse I made a christmas manicure, hope you like it as much as I do.

Natuurlijk heb ik ook een kerst manicure gemaakt, hoop dat jullie het net zo leuk vinden als ik.

I used the christmas colors red and green, but I wanted to be with glitter so I took China Glaze - Ruby Pumps and Orly - It's Not Rocket Science. This last one is by the way one of my favorite nailpolishes. The left sides of the nail are red and the right side is green. Just two layers of each. Then I used M12 which is a must have for the holidays I think! For my pinkie I choose the candycane, the christmas tree for my ring finger, for my middle finger I picked the bells and for my index I used the cute little snowman. On my thumb, not on the photo, I have got Santa and Merry Christmas, but I never photograph my thumb. For the stamping I used Konad Pastel Green and I think it is better then white, because this is a slightly better combination. I totally love this manicure because it contains my favorite nailpolish, it is in real christmas colors and the christmas images are very cute.

Ik heb gebruik gemaakt van de kerstkleuren rood en groen, maar ik wilde ook wat glitter dus heb ik gekozen voor China Glaze - Ruby Pumps en Orly - It's Not Rocket Science. De laatste is trouwens een van mijn favoriete nagellakken. De linkerzijde van mijn nagels heb ik rood gemaakt en de rechter groen. Gewoon twee laagjes van elk. Toen heb ik M12 gebruikt, waarvan ik vind dat het een must have is voor de feestdagen! Voor mijn pink koos ik voor de zuurstok, de kerstboom voor mijn ringvinger, voor mijn middelvinger heb ik de klokjes genomen en voor mijn wijsvinger gebruikte ik de kleine schattige sneeuwman. Op mijn duim, niet op de foto, heb ik de kerstman en Merry Christmas, maar ik fotografeer nooit mijn duim. Voor het stempelen heb ik Konad Pastel Green gebruikt en ik denk dat dit een betere keuze is dan wit, want dit een toch een betere combinatie. Ik vindt deze manicure erg geslaagd, want het bevat mijn favoriete nagellak, het is in echte kerstkleuren en de kerst plaatjes zijn erg schattig.

B22 M14 - Sinterklaas 2010

Hoi allemaal

Good news and bad news. Start with the good news, last weekend we celebrated Sinterklaas and it was alot of fun and we had nice diner all together. And I get some little presents and two tickets to the musical Mary Poppins next sunday! I am so exited! The less good news is that today I had to visit the hospital again and I hope that they could remove my cast and that they would say it would be allright soon. But the moment they took of my cast the pain became so unbearable, so they make a new and smaller rubber cast, for the next three weeks.

Goed nieuws en slecht nieuws. Om te beginnen met het goede nieuws, aflopen weekend hebben we Sinterklaas gevierd en het was erg gezellig en we hebben lekker gegeten met z'n allen. En ik heb wat kleine cadeautjes gehad en twee tickets voor de musical Mary Poppins voor komende zondag! Ik heb er zoveel zin in! Het minder goede nieuws is dat ik vandaag terug moest naar het ziekenhuis en ik hoopte dat ze mijn gips zouden verwijderen en dat ze zouden zeggen dat het snel in orde zou komen. Maar op het moment dat ze mijn gips verwijderde werd de pijn echt ondragelijk, dus nu hebben ze een nieuw klein gips van rubber aangebracht voor de komende drie weken.

I used my favorite red nailpolish: O.P.I. - Conquestadorable Color. It is a one-coater and it is nice to stamp on. I used yellow to stamp. For my inspiration I used 'Zie de maan schijnt door de bomen' and 'Sinterklaas kapoentje'. For the festive finish I used Etos - 002, gold glitter.

Ik heb gebruik gemaakt van mijn favoriete rode nagellak: O.P.I. - Conquestadorable Color. Dekt in een keer en leuk om op te stempelen. Ik heb geel gebruikt om te stempelen. Als inspiratie gebruikte ik 'Zie de maan schijnt door de bomen' en 'Sinterklaas kapoentje'. Als feestelijke finish heb ik Etos - 002, goude glitter gebruikt.

M56 - Golden Bows

Hoi meiden

I was searching for everything that has to do with a cat.. I hope I can convince my parents. But also to seriousely show that it is not a pet that is very dependent. Plus that I will be responsible for the cat and they are not. So they are only part of the fun part.. Any suggestions for names?

Alles wat ook maar met een katje te maken heeft heb ik opgezocht.. hiermee hoop ik stiekem dat ik mijn ouders kan overhalen. Maar ook om serieus te laten zien dat het best mee valt. Daar komt bij dat ik verantwoordelijk ben voor het beestje en zij niet. Dus eigenlijk hebben zij alleen maar het leuke gedeelte... Nog suggesties voor namen?

Base is Essence - Gold Rush. Very nice lacquer in my opinion. Coverage is very well and it is longlasting, even when I were this to the gym. I stamped with Konad Black. Choose the bows on M56. Nice image plate for hot french manicures. Finished with a topcoat.

Als basis heb ik Essence - Gold Rush gebruikt. Heel fijn lakje naar mijn mening. Dekt goed en blijft lang mooi, ook als ik er mee naar de sporthal ga. Hier heb ik opgestempeld met Konad Black. Gekozen voor de strikjes van M56. Leuke image plate voor gepimpte french manicure.
Afgedekt met een topcoat.

M14 Barbie Diamonds

Last thursday I made a new nailart creation with Konad. I liked it so much that I'm still wearing it!

Afgelopen donderdag had ik een nieuwe nailart creatie gemaakt met Konad. Ik vond het zo leuk, dat ik heb nu nog steeds op heb!

More girly is impossible! Sometimes I really love that. I used China Glaze Sugar High. A lovely Barbie pastel pink color. First I stamped black stars on it with image plate M14 and after that I made white stars with the same image. At last I made with Violet Pearl diamonds in the corners. On top the topcoat.

Meisjesachtiger kan gewoon niet! Soms hou ik daar wel van. Ik heb gebruik gemaakt van China Glaze Sugar High. Echt een heerlijk barbie roze pastel kleurtje. Daarover heen heb ik eerst zwarte sterretjes gestempeld met image plate M14 en vervolgens dezelfde sterretjes in het wit er naast gestempeld. Daarna heb ik met Violet Pearl diamandjes in het hoekje gestempeld. Alles afgewerkt met een laag topcoat.

You have to love pink, but I love it! :D

Je moet er van houden, maar ik ben er gek op! :D

M24 Little Pink Flowers

The rain is falling from the skies, but oke.. this is Holland. That's why I made this manicure to help me think back of a few weeks ago when we hade beautiful weather.

De regen komt weer met bakken uit de lucht vallen, maar goed ja.. dat is Nederland he. Daarom vandaag een manicure die een klein beetje helpt terug te denken aan het prachtige weer dat we een paar weken geleden nog hadden.Click to enlarge.

For this creation I used Rimmel - Ruby Me. Notice that you can't see anymore that the lacquer doesn't cover completely. Big advantage of stamping! I used my favorite stamping nailpolish Pastel Pink. This is my favorite because you can use it on many colors and also on red, it gives a red manicure a softer look, and I personally like that. Image plate M24 with the flower. And as finish ofcourse a topcoat.

Ik heb voor deze creatie Ruby Me van Rimmel gebruikt. Merk op dat het hier totaal niet opvalt dat het niet helemaal dekt. Groot voordeel van stempelen! Ik heb gebruik gemaakt van mijn favoriete stempel nagellak Pastel Pink. Deze is favoriet omdat je op vele kleuren kunt stempelen en dus ook op rood, waardoor het een wat zachtere uitstraling krijgt, en daar hou ik wel van. Verder heb ik image plate M24 gebruikt, uiteraard het bloemetje. En afgewerkt met een topcoat.

M76 Bows A La Greece

Did you have enjoyed your sunday? I worked out some things and tomorrow my normal life will be back. But it will be different this year, first I have an internship and after I have to choose subjects that I will follow, this is ofcourse closer to my interests. I'm excited!

Fijne zondag gehad? Ik heb nog wat laatste dingetjes geregeld en morgen begint het normale leven weer. Al wordt het dit jaar wel iets anders, eerst moet ik stage lopen en daarna moet ik vakken volgen die ik zelf gekozen heb, dus deze liggen dichtbij mijn interesses. Ik ben benieuwd en ik heb er zin in!

Because I wanted to relive my holiday in Greece again, I made this manicure with Greek colors. I like that so much, the blue and white houses. I didn't make houses, but nice bows.

Om nog een keer heel eventjes van mijn vakantie te genieten in Griekenland had ik deze manicure gemaakt met de Griekse kleuren. Dat vind ik zo leuk hè aan Griekenland, die blauw witte huisjes. Ik heb hier dan alleen geen huisjes gemaakt maar leuke strikjes.

I used Konad image plate M76. I totally recommend this to anyone. so many nice patterns. But you need a little bit taller nails, because the images are pretty big. I took the bow with the small things around it and I stamped with Konad White. That is a good suggestion too, because white matches alot of colors. As basis I used China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le. Just love it. Color combination made me think of Greece.

Ik heb gebruik gemaakt van Konad image plate M76. Deze raadt ik echt aan iedereen aan, zulke leuke motiefjes. Je moet er alleen wel ietsje langere nagels voor hebben, anders passen ze er niet op. Dan heb ik natuurlijk het strikje met de frutseltjes er om heen gebruikt en gestempeld met Konad White. Dat is ook echt wel een aanrader, want wit past op vele kleuren. Als basislaag heb ik van China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le gebruikt. Hou er gewoon van. Zo de Griekse sfeer gecreerd.

M35 Frog Spots

Today I received my image plates from France and I try a few and they worked out very well. Tomorrow I expect my order from Fransdesign and the day after tomorrow my order from Nailpolish Fashion. Nice nice nice!

Vandaag heb ik mijn images plates uit Frankrijk binnen gekregen en ik heb er eventjes een paar snel getest en ze lijken het allemaal goed te doen. Morgen verwacht ik mijn pakketje van Transdesign en overmorgen mijn bestelling van Nailpolish Fashion. Leuk leuk leuk :)

This is what I like the most. Nice combinations of colors, with simple nailart. It doesn't take much time, it gives a nice result and it is not over the top.

Dit is wat ik eigenlijk wel het meest leuke vind. Leuke combinaties van kleuren vinden, met simpele nailart. Het kost weinig tijd, het geeft een leuk resultaat en het is niet al te flamboyant.

Here is used Essence Check Me Out, probabley my favorite Essence color. It is gorgeous green. On this I used Pop Green to make the bubbles with a little help of image plate M35.
Super simple and just that bit extra then just green nailpolish.

Hier heb ik Essence Check Me Out gebruikt, wellicht mijn favoriete Essence kleurtje. Het is echt prachtig groen. Hierop heb ik met Pop Green bubbeltjes op gestempeld van image plate M35. Super simpel en toch net dat beetje extra dan alleen groene nagellak.

M55 Strawberry and Apple Fields

Goedemiddag allemaal

I noticed that my blog had already 1000 views. And that for a topic that is just about nailpolish.. Very nice! Now I have still vacation and I have plenty of time to write, but I will keep doing this when my study started again, because it is so much fun to do and read your reactions.

Ik zie net dat mijn blog alweer 1000 keer bekeken is. En dat voor iets wat gewoon over nagellak gaat... Erg leuk! Nu heb ik nog vakantie en dan heb ik elke dag veel tijd om te schrijven, maar ik ga het absoluut bij houden als mijn studie ook weer begint, want het is gewoon erg leuk om te doen en jullie reacties te lezen.

Yesterday I saw the author from http://www.miranniesnails.blogspot.com/ and I bought 6 laquers from her, one of them is a Mood Nailpolish of Claire's. I also ordered 4 stamping nailpolishes, 1 color club and 1 zoya. yep.. shopping spree ;)

Gisteren bij de schrijfster van http://www.miranniesnails.blogspot.com/ geweest en ik heb 6 lakjes van haar overgenomen, waaronder een Mood Nailpolish van Claire's. Ook heb ik nog 4 stempelnagellakken besteld, 1 color club en 1 zoya. Jaja.. koop woede ;)

Today we have finaly a wonderful sunshine in Holland. So a manicure to match that.

Vandaag in Nederland eindelijk weer mooi zonnetje. Dus vandaar een zomerse manicure.

For this manicure I used my favorite laquer from China Glaze Strawberry Fields. I love combinations with pink and yellow. That's why I choose for stamping nailpolish Yellow. Image plate M55 is really nice, nice pictures that really show off. The apples are too cute, so I used them. To make it not statically I stamped it different on every nail. Now you get a more interesting result, then when you stamp everytime in the middle. But that is the benefit of stamping nailart, you can do it how and where you want it.

Voor deze manicure heb ik gebruik gemaakt van mijn favoriete lakje China Glaze Strawberry Fields. Ik hou van combinaties van roze met geel. Daarom heb ik stempel nagellak Yellow hiervoor gebruikt. Image plate M55 vind ik echt een aanrader, leuke plaatjes die lekker opvallen. De appeltjes zijn echt te schattig en daarom heb ik die dan ook gebruikt. Om het niet te statisch te laten worden heb ik op elke nagel het anders gestempeld. Hierdoor krijg je een interessanter eind resultaat, dan wanneer je overal recht in het midden stempelt. Maar dat is dus een voordeel van stamping nailart, je kan het precies doen hoe en waar jij het wilt.

M29 Coconut Flowers

Hoi allemaal,

Today was a great day! First I had this conversation with my internship coordinator and my internship is accepted. After that I had a chance to look again at my test and then I came out that I made it! When the result I recieved was failed. That means 2 more weeks of relaxing, Love it!

Vandaag was echt een top dag! Eerst had ik een gesprek met mijn stage coordinator en mijn stage is zo goed als goed gekeurd. Daarna had ik een inkijkmoment en toen bleek dat ik mijn tentamen eigenlijk wel gehaald had! Dus dat betekend nog 2 weken langer relaxen, absoluut geen straf!

Maybe you've seen it, but I rewrote all my posts and from now on every post with be in English (blue) and Dutch (green)

Zoals jullie misschien ook wel gezien hebben heb ik al mijn blogs herschreven en alles zal vanaf nu verschijnen in Engels (blauw) en Nederlands (groen)

Always start with a basecoat, otherwise your nails will turn yellow and believe me.. you don't want that. After I used China Glaze Coconut Kiss. I love this beautiful intens deep purple laquer. And a color that fits perfectly with this dark purple is light purple that's why I used Pastel Violet. It is a sort of double flower and the image is on image plate M29. Finish with a topcoat.

Altijd beginnen met een basecoat anders verkleuren je nagels en geloof me.. dat wil je liever niet. Daarna heb ik China Glaze Coconut Kiss gebruikt. Ik vind dat zo'n prachtige diepe paarse lak. En een kleur die goed bij donker paars past is ongetwijfeld licht paars vandaar dat ik Pastel Violet gebruikt heb hiervoor. Het is een soort dubbele bloem en het plaatje staat op image plate M29. Met als afsluiter een topcoat.

What also could be nice is to paint the two flowers both in a different color, I'll try that soon. When I'm finished I will post it.

M29 Hawai

Today a quicky. Just got back from Leiden, I've been to Corpus. Nice day out and a good test for me as a health-scienist-to-be, but I knew practically everything, lucky for me ;)

Vandaag een korte post. Ben net terug uit Leiden, ben naar Corpus geweest. Leuk dagje uit en goede test voor mij als aanstormende gezondheidswetenschapper, maar ik wist praktisch alles, gelukkig maar ;)

Today a new Konad stamping nailart creation. In a nice summer theme.

Vandaag nieuwe Konad stamping nailart creatie. In een heerlijk zomers thema.

For this creation I used Artdeco 262, after I used basecoat. If you want to make this Hawai manicure you'll need image plate M29. On this plate are different summer theme images like a hawai flower, palmtrees, a pineapple (!!!) and aloha! Next thing I did was stamping with special nailpolish dark orange and put the hawai flowers on to my nails. Very simple, but I like it. With this example you can see that Artdeco is fine to stamp on, even when the laquer itself isn't that great.

Voor deze creatie heb ik gebruik gemaakt van Artdeco 262, nadat ik gebruik heb gemaakt van een basecoat. Als je deze Hawai manicure wilt maken heb je image plate M29 nodig. Hier staan allemaal zomerse plaatjes op zoals het hawai bloemetje, maar ook palmbomen, een ananas (!!!) en aloha! Vervolgens heb ik de stempel nagellak dark orange gebruikt en hiermee de hawai bloemetjes op mijn nagels aangebracht. Erg simpel, maar ik vind ze leuk. Hiermee kan je ook zien dat artdeco prima is om op te stempelen, ook al is de nagellak zelf niet fantastisch.

M03 Three On A Row

Good morning everyone,

Goedemorgen allemaal,

Hopefully all of you had a good rest last night. Slowly I'm getting used to Holland again, but I still agree, it would be so nice to go back to such a heavenly island. So if there is anyone out here who feels the need to pay my holiday, then I love to hear that :)

Hopelijk hebben jullie net zo lekker geslapen als ikzelf. Het wennen aan Nederland gaat beter en beter, maar ik blijf er bij, het zou heerlijk zijn om terug te gaan naar zo'n zalig eiland. Dus als iemand de behoefte voelt een vakantie voor me te vergoeden, dan hoor ik het graag :)

Today I have planned a lot. In a minute I have to visit the optic to check my lenses. And for those who know me and think 'huh Melanie lenses'. Yes I have night lenses, I used them at night, the reform the curve of the eye and then your eyes are good for normal vision. Benefit is that during the day while sporting, what I do almost every day of the week, no irritating lenses and still shrap vision. I think it is superb.
After I have been to the optic I'll clean up my room, because it is not so big and then you'll have pretty soon a chaos. Then I will make 2 dances with ball and try to typ out some stuff for the selection. For the ones who think 'what is she talking about'. I am a trainer in ritmic gymnastics and I give courses to recreation groups, the plus group and the selection. At the moment this is my sideline job, because I study and when I am finished I am afraid that it won't be able to do a normal job an this one next to each other. BUT I won't worrie about that now, because it is at least 2 years away. But you know, sometimes time flies...

Vandaag een druk dagje gepland. Straks eventjes langs de optiek om mijn lenzen te laten checken. En voor de mensen die mij kennen en denken 'huh Melanie lenzen'. Ja ik heb nachtlenzen, en die doe je dus s'nachts in, vervormen de bolling van de oog en dan zie je dus de volgende dag scherp. Voordeel is dat je dus overdag tijdens sporten, waar ik natuurlijk erg veel mee bezig ben, geen gepiel hebt met die dingen en toch scherp ziet. Tja ik vind het ideaal.
Maar goed nadat ik dat heb laten controleren ga ik maar eens mijn kamertje opruimen, want het is niet zo groot en dan heb je al vrij snel het zwijnenstal-effect. En daarna zal ik voor de recreatie 2 bal oefeningetjes maken en proberen alvast iets voor de wedstrijdgroep uit te typen. Voor degene die nu denken, waar heeft ze het over. Ik ben trainster ritmische gymnastiek en hierbij geef ik recreatie, plus en wedstrijdgroepen les. Momenteel doe ik dit als bijbaantje, want ik studeer en zodra ik dat heb afgerond zal het waarschijnlijk niet meer helemaal samen gaan. MAAR daar gaan we nu nog niet over inzitten, want dat is nog minimaal 2 jaar weg. Maar ja.. tijd kan soms vliegen he...

That was enough philosophy. I have made, ow yes I think it's cute, nailart with Konad. I call it 'Three On A Row'.

Goed genoeg filosofisch gepraat. Ik heb een, ow ja ik vind hem schattig, nailart gemaakt met Konad. Ik noem het 'Drie Op Een Rij'.

It's very simple, but cute. I started, ofcourse, with a basecoat and after that I used Astor #56. On this is used Konad Special White and the nice open flowers of image plate M03. Plus an other time the littlest one diagonal under the other two. For this result you need to stamp 'diagonal', to do this you don't need to hold your stamp diagonal and difficult, but you just have to turn the image and then press it straight on to your nail as usual. It will take some practise, absolutely when you will do it on to your right hand, but then it turns out to be not as difficult as it seems to be. Good luck!

Deze is erg simpel, maar schattig. Ik ben uiteraard begonnen met een basecoat en vervolgens heb ik Astor #56 gebruikt. Hierop heb ik met Konad Special White de leuke open bloemetjes van image plate M03 er opgestempeld. Plus dan nog een keertje het kleinste bloemetje schuin onder. Voor dit resultaat moet je wel 'schuin' stempelen, hiervoor hoef je niet je stempel schuin en moeilijk te gaan vasthouden, maar je moet het plaatje gewoon draaien en hem dan recht over je nagel heen drukken zoals gewoonlijk. Het is wel eventjes aan te raden dit te oefenen, zeker voordat je je rechterhand gaat doen, maar daarna valt het best mee. Succes!

M64 Jamaica

Hi everybody,

Hoi allemaal,

I just had a wonderful day, this morning I worked and after that I just lay down in my backyard. At this moment I am busy with a book, Het Venetiaanse Huis, and it is not thrlling, but the relationships are so complex and so well written that you just want to read it non-stop.
That's why today I did not have time to do some swatches.

Ik heb een heerlijke dag gehad, vanmorgen wat gewerkt en daarna lekker in de tuin gelegen. Ben nu bezig in een boek, Het Venetiaanse Huis, en het is niet echt spannend ofzo, maar de relaties zijn zo ingewikkeld en zo goed uitgewerkt dat je eigenlijk non-stop door wilt lezen. Daarom ben ik vandaag ook niet toegekomen aan swatches.

With image plate M65 I made this green flower pattern on my, ugly, yellow etos color. The result isn't really showing off in this photo, but it's really blasting in real life, especially with some sunlight. And because of the color combination and the flowers I immediatley had to think about Jamaica. I would love to travel there some day!

Met image plate M65 heb ik deze groene bloemen gemaakt op mijn, lelijke, gele etos kleurtje. Het komt niet helemaal tot zijn recht in deze foto, maar het was echt een knalle kleurtje, vooral met zonlicht er op. En door de kleuren combinatie met bloemen moest ik direct aan Jamaica denken. Daar wil ik echt nog wel eens ooit naar toe!

I am going to make some meringue, tomorrow I will make my own strawberry icecream and for the crunch I will put my handmade meringue through it. I shall let you know if it did worked out the way it was meant to be.

Ik ga nu verder met het maken van schuimpjes, morgen ga ik namelijk zelf aardbeien ijs maken en voor de crunch gaan er dan zelf gemaakte schuimpjes doorheen. Ik zal morgen of overmorgen wel laten weten of het gelukt is.

M02 Black Stars

Goeiemorgen allemaal,

Yesterday I recieved my first order of TransDesign. 18 super cool new laquers. Alot of pink, but also yellow, blue, turquoise and many more. I tested them and they were all gorgeous. Soon I'll swatch them.

Gisteren heb ik mijn eerste bestelling bij Trans Design binnen gekregen. Of te wel: 18 super gave nieuwe lakjes. Veel roze, maar ook een gele, blauw, turkoois echt van alles zit er tussen. Ik heb ze allemaal al snel uitgetest en geen een viel er tegen. Ik zal ze uiteraard ook swatchen binnenkort.

Today I want to show you how you can make 'something' of a very ugly nailpolish. That's why I used my most ugly laquer Etos 016:

Voor vandaag wilde ik eventjes laten zien hoe je van een lelijk oorsmeer lakje toch nog 'iets' kan maken. Daarom heb ik vandaag mijn meest lelijke lakje gebruik Etos 016:

I used Konad Black for stamping and the result isn't pretty, no absolutely not. But the black stars distract from the ugly laquer. It would even better if only the tip would be stamped, then you could cover how bad it covers. If you use stamping nailart, I personally believe that you should see the result easily. That works for this one.

Ik heb er met Konad Black op gestempeld en het resultaat is niet waanzinnig, nee absoluut niet. Maar de zwarte sterretjes leiden af van het verschrikkelijke lakje. Het zou nog beter zijn als alleen de tip gestempeld was, dan zou het minder opvallen hoe slecht het dekt. Als er gestempeld wordt vind ik wel dat de stempels op moeten vallen. En dat is hier het geval.

If you want to remake this one you need M02, Konad special nailpolish Black and base- and topcoat.

Als je deze na wilt maken heb je image plate M02, Konad special nailpolish Black en base- en topcoat nodig.

S04 Feng Shui

Aahh what a game! And we won! Oke the last goal is a pity, but we are through to the next round! Woehoe!

Aahh Wat een wedstrijd! En dan ook nog eens gewonnen! Beetje van dat laatste tegendoelpunt, maar ach we zijn door naar de kwartfinales! Woehoe!

Today not an orange laquer that will fit the day, but a Konad creation that I promised you.

Vandaag geen toepasselijk oranje lakje, maar wel een Konad creatie die ik nog beloofd had tijdens mijn tentamens.

There aren't many colors that will fit this grey blue nailpolish, but Pastel Violet is doing great.
I don't like it if people have to do a lot of effort to see what is on your nails. That's why I only use colors that really match each other. This one is relax but visible.

Er kunnen niet veel verschillende kleuren op deze grijs blauwe lak gestempeld worden, maar Pastel Violet doet het prima.
Ik vind het nooit zo leuk als mensen eerst heel moeilijk op je nagels moeten kijken wat er op staat. Daarom wil ik alleen duidelijke kleuren over elkaar. En dit is rustig en duidelijk zichtbaar.

Plus of course the whole idea that this nailpolish is taking care of my Feng Shui and a Chinese sign for 'prosperity'. That might help during tests.

Plus natuurlijk het idee dat dit lakje voor Feng Shui zorgt en een Chinees tekentje voor 'voorspoed'. Dat zou wel eens een steuntje in de rug kunnen zijn tijdens tentamens.

I like Chinese signs anyway. They are little and with details and that why I like image plate S04 so much, 7 nice signs that I will surely show you sometime.

Ik vind Chineze tekentjes sowieso leuk. Ze zijn klein en gedetailleerd en daarom vind ik image plate S04 zo leuk, 7 leuke tekentjes zien we ongetwijfeld nog langs gaan komen hier.

3,5 days and the I have my holiday. Nice thought, but I still need to work a bit.

M36 Holographic Butterflies

Hello everybody,

Hoi allemaal,

For everyone who is now not watching Brazil-Ivory Coast, this swatch. The first were I used Konad Stamping Nailart.

Voor iedereen die nu niet naar Brazilië-Ivoorkust aan het kijken is een swatch. De eerste waarbij ik gebruik heb gemaakt van Konad Stamping Nailart.

As you can see I used IDK of China Glaze. This laquer is beautiful of itself, so I don't think it need any stamping on it. That is the reason why I used a small image. I also choose for the special blue nailpolish because this is matching well with the color that are in IDK. Important is that you use a topcoat. This is a protection for damage, but it also makes the nailpolish and the special nailpolish as one.

Zoals jullie zien heb ik gebruik gemaakt van IDK van China Glaze. Deze lak is van zichzelf al erg mooi dus ik vind het niet echt nodig om er ook nog eens op te stempelen. Dus vandaar dat ik een klein plaatje heb uitgekozen. Ook heb ik gekozen voor de speciale blauwe stempellak omdat deze kleur goed matcht met de kleuren in IDK. Belangrijk is wel dat je een topcoat hierover heen gebruikt. Dit beschermt tegen beschadigingen, maar maakt ook een geheel van de nagellak en de stempellak.

Konad Stamping Nailart is really a nice suggestion. It is, after some practice, not difficult and the possiblities are endlessly with images, colors and combinations of these.

Konad Stamping Nailart is echt een aanrader. Het is, na wat oefening, niet moeilijk en er zijn oneindig veel mogelijkheden met plaatjes, kleurtjes en combinaties van deze.
