China Glaze - Light As Air

You know I have two lovely cats. My boyfriend had also two cats and I never thought that I would like other cats than my own so much. They are also so cute and funny... but last sunday we found the oldest, Bommel, he past away. It is not even my own cat, but I feel so sad. It was such a great cat so charming.

Jullie weten dat ik twee lieve katten heb. Mijn vriend had ook twee katten en ik had nooit gedacht dat ik andere katten dan die van mezelf ook zo leuk zou kunnen vinden. Ze zijn zo schattig en grappig... maar afgelopen zondag hebben we de oudste, Bommel, gevonden, overleden. Het is niet eens mijn eigen kat, maar ik voel me echt verdrietig erdoor. Het was echt een geweldige kat, echt een charmeur.

The Up & Away Collection is absolutely great. All the colors are perfect creams. Maybe the colors are not original, but I really like it because those twelve colors are the basics for alot of beautiful manicures.

De Up & Away Collectie is absoluut geweldig. Alle kleuren hebben een perfecte creme finish. Misschien zijn de kleuren niet origineel, maar ik vind het leuk dat er gewoon twaalf kleuren zijn die de basis vormen voor vele mooie manicures.

China Glaze - Dreamsicle

Hoi allemaal,

I just returned from my holiday to Greece. I went with a friend to Samos. It was very nice and I got a nice tan. But I missed my boyfriend, my cats, my webshop, my blog and my family. So it was a nice time, but I am happy to be back again.

Ik ben net terug komen van mijn vakantie in Griekenland. Ik ben met een vriendin naar Samos geweest. Het was erg leuk en ik heb nu een mooi kleurtje opgedaan. Maar ik miste mijn vriend, mijn katten, mijn webshop, mijn blog en mijn familie. Het was een leuke tijd, maar ik ben ook weer blij om terug te zijn.

I love orange alot, but on the nails it is not always a nice color. Plus when you wear anything orange here in The Netherlands everybody thinks it is a national day or something. On Queensday last april I used this nailpolish. It is an amazing glitter and it is orange. It is a little more sheer than I expected. But I don't really care, I use another orange as a base and then Dreamsicle for a stunning result. In the picture it is only Dreamsicle.

Ik hou erg veel van oranje, maar op je nagels is het niet altijd een mooie kleur. Plus als je het draagt hier in Nederland denkt iedereen dat er een nationale dag is of zo. Met koninginnedag in april heb ik deze lak gebruikt. Het is prachtig en de glitters zijn fantastisch. Het is wel een beetje sheer, meer dan ik verwacht had. Maar dat maakt me niet zoveel uit, ik gebruik gewoon een andere oranje als basis en dan Dreamsicle voor een waanzinnig resultaat. Op de foto is alleen Dreamsicle afgebeeld.

China Glaze - Spontaneous

Lieve lezers,

First of all, sorry sorry sorry for not blogging for so long. It's already been a month since the last time. Everything is so hectic lately. I was doing my last exams and I have a boyfriend almost two months now and last week I was ready to blog again and then I got the flu or something like that, it's almost over now. I can't wait to blog everyday again, to be honest I really missed it. That's why I want to thank my followers for still visiting my blog and for all your comments! Thanks!

Ten eerste, sorry sorry sorry voor het niet bloggen. Het is alweer bijna een maand geleden sinds de laatste keer. Alles is zo hectisch de afgelopen tijd. Ik moest mijn laatste tentamens maken en ik heb een vriend nu bijna twee maanden en de afgelopen week was ik helemaal klaar om weer te bloggen en kreeg ik de griep of iets wat er op lijkt, het is nu bijna over. Ik kan echt niet wachten om weer elke dag te bloggen en om eerlijk te zijn heb ik het echt gemist. Daarom wil ik mijn volgers bedanken dat zij nog steeds mijn blog hebben bezocht en comments hebben achter gelaten! Dank jullie wel!

More good news since two days I am official 'Bachelor of Health Sciences'. Sounds good right? :) It means I finished the first three years of my study, next year I start with my Master Health Science.

Meer goed nieuws sinds twee dagen ben ik officieel 'Bachelor of Health Sciences'. Klinkt goed he? :) Het betekend dat ik de eerste drie jaar van mijn studie heb afgerond, volgend jaar start ik met mijn Master Health Science.

I love China Glaze so much... but you all know that already.. and If you read my blog for a while you know I love purple also alot. So a purple that is made by China Glaze must be perfect and that is exactly what Spontaneous is! It is not from a brand new collection and that is what I also like about it. Because most blogs are about the newest colors which is absolutely nice to read, but sometimes it is good to look back to older polishes because there are some great ones out there! :) What do you think about an older polish like Spontaneous?

Ik hou zoveel van China Glaze... maar dat wisten jullie allang.. en als je mn blog al een poosje leest dan weet je ook dat ik erg van paars hou. Dus een paars die gemaakt is door China Glaze moet dan perfect zijn en dat is precies wat Spontaneous is! Het is niet van een gloednieuwe collectie en dat vind ik ook leuk hieraan. Want de meeste blogs focussen op de nieuwste kleuren, wat erg leuk is om te lezen, maar soms is het ook goed om terug te blikken op de wat oudere lakken, want er zitten echt een aantal mooie tussen! :) Wat vind jij van een ouder lakje zoals Spontaneous?

1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY - China Glaze - LOL

Today is a big day! It is one big anniversary! Because today my lovely cat Toulouse is 1 year and my blog exists also 1 year! I really love to blog about my hobby and my passion. I hope you all like to read it and I will go on next year! Let it be another year full of nailpolish and beautiful nails!

Vandaag is een grote dag! Het is een grote verjaardag! Want vandaag is mijn lieve katje Toulouse 1 jaar en mijn blog bestaat ook 1 jaar! Ik ben gek op het bloggen over mijn hobby en mijn passie. I just love the OMG collection of China Glaze. The holo's are very subtle and when there is no light the color are very light, so you can wear it also to work! But ofcourse with the sunlight on your nails it is the best! LOL is the purple one and I love it! :D Unfortunately they are discontinued, so you are very lucky if you can get your hands on this one. Lucky me, I bought the whole collection, just before they stopped!

Ik ben gek op de OMG collectie van China Glaze. De holo's zijn heel subtiel en als er geen licht is dan wordt de kleur heel licht, dus je kan het ook gewoon dragen op je werk! Maar natuurlijk met het zonlicht op je nagels is het het beste! LOL is de paarse en ik ben er helemaal weg van! :D Jammer genoeg worden ze niet meer geproduceerd, dus als je deze nog kan krijgen mag je jezelf gelukkig prijzen. Gelukkig voor mij, ik had net de hele collectie gekocht, vlak voordat de collectie gestopt werd!

China Glaze - Pink Underground

Sometimes you think that nothing could go better, but somehow somthing or someone can ruin it all. Well that happened to me yesterday. I met this guy and he is great and we completely match, but a friend of us has got big problems with us being together. I absolutely don't know where it's going to end, but at this moment it doesn't look good. Does someone have the same experience? What did you do to fix it?

Soms denk je wel eens dat het allemaal niet meer stuk kan, maar soms is er iets of iemand die het in een klap kan ruineren. Nou dat is mij dus gisteren overkomen. Ik ben deze man tegen gekomen en hij is echt geweldig en we matchen volledig, maar een wederzijdse vriend heeft er grote problemen mee als we iets beginnen samen. Ik heb absoluut geen idee waar dit gaat eindigen, maar op dit moment ziet het er niet zo rooskleurig uit. Is dit iemand wel eens eerder overkomen? Wat heb je gedaan om het te fixen?

Well I got to do something with my day, so I worked on my paper and I did my nails. Pink always cheers me up so I used China Glaze - Pink Underground:

Nou ik moest iets doen met mijn dag, dus ik heb gewerkt aan mijn paper en heb mijn nagels gedaan. Roze vrolijkt me altijd op dus ik heb China Glaze - Pink Underground gebruikt:

Pink Underground is the pink color from the Operation Color Collection. It has got a little violet/blue shimmer in it which makes it special. Like almost all my China Glaze lacquers it's great. The color is real pink and opaque in 2 coats. The shimmer is awesome and it is long lasting. Plus this is a great base to stamp on!

Pink Underground is de roze kleur van de Operation Color Collectie. Het heeft een kleine violet/blauwe shimmer wat het speciaal maakt. Zoals bijna al mijn China Glaze lakjes is deze ook super. De kleur is echt roze en het dekt in 2 coats. De shimmer is geweldig en het blijft ook nog eens mooi lang zitten. Plus het is een geweldige basis om op te stempelen!

Today I have to work on my paper about drugs and addictions. The more I learn about it the more interesting it is! Before I started this course it thought that people who were having an addiction were too weak and too stupid to think about quiting, but it it way more difficult. Really opened up my eyes.

Vandaag moet ik aan mijn paper werken over drugs en verslavingen. Hoe meer ik er over leer hoe interessanter het wordt. Voordat ik met dit vak begon dacht ik dat mensen die verslaafd waren te zwak en te stom waren om na te denken over stoppen, maar het is zoveel ingewikkelder. Echt het heeft mijn ogen geopend.

It's the best red nailpolish I have ever seen. Don't you agree with me? It is very easy to apply, it dries quicky, but not to fast, it's long lasting, it's had got this cute little shimmer in it and it is absolutely feminine! I love all kinds and colors of nailpolish but I am always very critical about the red ones.. maybe it's just me, but I don't really see the difference in all those red nailpolishes, but I guarantee that this is a must have!

Het is de beste rode nagellak die ik ooit gezien heb. Vind je ook niet? Het is heel makkelijk aan te brengen, het droogt snel, maar niet te snel, het blijft lang mooi, het heeft zo'n schattige kleine shimmer er in verwerkt en het is absoluut vrouwelijk! Ik hou van alle soorten en kleuren nagellak, maar ik ben altijd erg kritisch over de rode lakjes.. misschien ligt het aan mij, maar ik zie vaak het verschil niet tussen al die rode nagellakken, maar ik garandeer dat dit een must-have is!

China Glaze - Towel Boy Toy

The sun is sooooo nice! I studied the whole day in my backyard and i finished the book I had to read before the end of may. So now I have all the time left for my paper, it's about drugs and addictions, very interesting. Personally I don't smoke, don't use drugs and don't really drink alcohol, so when I started I really didn't had any feeling with the subject. But it is absolutely very interesting.

De zon is zoooo lekker! Ik heb de hele dag gestudeerd in mijn achtertuin en ik het heb boek uit wat ik gelezen moest hebben voor eind mei. Dus nu heb ik alle tijd voor mijn paper, het gaat over drugs en verslavingen, erg interessant. Zelf rook ik niet, gebruik ik geen drugs en drink ook niet echt alcohol, dus toen ik hieraan begon had ik niet echt feeling met het onderwerp. Maar het is absoluut erg interessant.

I totally love this kind of blue, it is sweet, it is blue and it is still outstanding. At this moment i layered it with some glitter, which makes it even more pretty, i will show you the results tomorrow. Bahamian Escape is a one-coater! A must-have for the summer (or whenever you want to wear it, who cares ;))!

Ik hou echt heel erg van deze kleur blauw, het is lief, het is blauw en het is nog steeds opvallend. Op dit moment heb ik er een laagje glitter overheen, wat het nog mooier maakt, morgen zal ik jullie het resultaat laten zien. Bahamian Escape is een one-coater! Echt een must-have voor de zomer (of wanneer je het dan ook wilt dragen, who cares ;))!

BM08 Koninginnedag 2011

Lieve lezers,

It is a little late, i know i know, but I still wanted to show you my manicure on Queensday! It was the best day ever! I went to the market, 7 o'clock... and till 5 o'clock in the afternoon I painted nails, non stop. It was such a populair attraction and so much fun to do, so I will be there again next year girls!

Het is een beetje laat, ik weet het ik weet het, maar ik wilde nog mijn manicure van Koninginnedag laten zien! Het was een super dag! Ik ging naar de vrijmarkt, om ongeveer 7 uur sochtends... en tot 5 uur smiddags heb ik non stop nagels gelakt. Het was echt een hele populaire attractie en zo ontzettend leuk om te doen, dus volgend jaar ben ik er weer meiden!

I totally love oranje and there isn't a better day to use it then on Queensday! I choose China Glaze - Breakin, simple but beautiful orange. Then I stamped the crowns in the colors of the Dutch flag: red, white, blue. Super simple, but super fun and effective for a day like this. Can't wait till next year!

Ik ben helemaal gek op oranje en er is geen betere dag om het te gebruiken dan met Koninginnedag! Ik heb gekozen voor China Glaze - Breakin, simpel maar mooi oranje. Daarna heb ik kroontjes er op gestempeld in de kleuren van de Nederlandse vlag: rood, wit, blauw. Super simpel, maar super leuk en effectief op een dag als deze. Kan niet wachten tot volgend jaar!

I used one of my favorite nailpolishes from the Up & Away Collection: Peachy Keen. (By the way... they are all great :P) It is perfect for Easter, so i made purple and pink polkadots on it and a cute bow. Ofcourse the bunny couldn't be missing on this manicure!

China Glaze - Shaken Not Stirred

Dear readers Lieve lezers Finally the doctors found out what was wrong with me. After almost 13 weeks of research they found the little, but very annoying, parasite. I got the right treatment now and they think I should feel better in 2 weeks! Ow I really can't wait to have my active life back! Eindelijk hebben de artsen gevonden wat er mis met me is. Na bijna 13 weken onderzoek hebben ze een kleine, maar erg vervelende, parasiet gevonden. Ik heb nu de juiste antibiotica en ze denken dat ik me beter moet gaan voelen in 2 weken! Ow ik kan echt niet wachten dat ik mijn actieve leventje weer terug heb! The sun is shining and I am so happy. I wear China Glaze - Shaken Not Stirred: De zon schijnt en ik ben zo blij. I wanted it for a long time but somehow I couldn't find it. But now I own it and it makes all the expectations come true. Without a doubt I can say that this is the cutest nailpolish I own. Like, almost, all nailpolishes of China Glaze everything is great about it! You just need 3 coats to make it opaque, but look at the result! It is really worth it! Dit is zo'n schattige kleur! Ik wilde het al een hele poos, maar op een of andere manier kon ik het niet vinden. Maar nu heb ik het en het maakt alle verwachtingen dubbel en dwars waar. Zonder twijfel kan ik zeggen dat dit de schattigste nagellak is die ik heb. Zoals, bijna, alle nagellakken van China Glaze is alles super! China Glaze - Breakin

Hi girls Hoi meiden I keep it short today, because I am still feeling very bad after what happened yesterday. The story in short: I am ill for more then 9 weeks at this moment, I can't really eat something so I have a very low energy level. Yesterday my girls had a tournament and I had to be there as their coach ofcourse. But after a few hours I start to feel very bad and dizzy and I past out. So the rest of the afternoon I spend in the hospital. Ik hou het kort vandaag, omdat ik me nog steeds erg slecht voel na wat er gisteren is gebeurd. Het verhaal in het kort: Ik ben nu meer dan 9 weken ziek op dit moment, ik kan niet echt iets eten en daarom heb ik erg weinig energie. Gisteren hadden mijn meiden een wedstrijd en ik moest daar zijn als hun trainster natuurlijk. Maar na een paar uur voelde ik me heel slecht en dizzy en toen viel ik flauw. De rest van de middag heb ik bij de EHBO doorgebracht. I try to keep doing everything the best I can, but now I am at a point that I realize that my body isn't saying the same thing. Really broke yesterday. Ik probeer alles nog zo goed mogelijk te doen, maar ik ben nu op een punt dat ik me realiseer dat mijn lichaam daar niet zo over denkt. Voelde me echt gebroken gisteren. But to keep a positive tone I would like to show you China Glaze - Breakin. If breakin down always looks so bright and happy, there wouldn't be a problem. This is a very lovely bright orange shimmer. Very easy to applicate and you get instantly happy! This color is just connected to the spring and the summer. Als breakin down er altijd zo zonnige en vrolijk uit zag, dan zou er geen probleemzijn. Dit is zo'n lieve oranje shimmer. Het is heel simpel om aan te brengen en je wordt er direct blij van! Dit is een kleur die gekoppeld is met de lente en de zomer. This is one of my favorite China Glaze nailpolishes. It is because of the color, the application and the time it last. The drying time is also pretty short, which makes it even better.

Dit is een van mijn favoriete China Glaze nagellakken. Het is vanwege de kleur, de applicatie en de tijd dat het mooi blijft. De droogtijd is ook behoorlijk kort, wat het natuurlijk nog beter maakt.

China Glaze - Liquid Leather

Today was the first day since the new year that I could sleep a long long time. Feel completely refreshed. Yesterday my girls were having a competition and they were so great! Of the 24 medailles we took 7. There are 7 clubs so statistical every club will win 3,5 medailles, just to give you a better view on this competition, they were absolutely wonderfull! So proud!

Vandaag was de eerste dag sinds het nieuwe jaar dat ik lekker lang kon uitslapen. Voel me compleet refreshed. Gisteren hadden mijn meiden een wedstrijd en ze hebben het zo goed gedaan! Van de 24 medailles wonnen wij er 7. Er zijn 7 verenigingen, en dus statistisch gezien wint elke vereniging 3,5 medaille, dus om je een beter zicht te geven op hoe de competitie vergaan is, ze hebben het waanzinnig goed gedaan! Zo trots!

Today I am going to a musical La Cage Aux Folles. I heard it is a very sad story, but I can't wait to see it!

Vandaag ga ik naar de musical La Cage Aux Folles. Ik heb gehoord dat het een erg zielig verhaal is, maar ik kan niet wachten om het te zien!

Na al dit goede nieuws wil ik jullie een nagellak laten zien die minstens zo goed is. Ik moet zeggen dat ik het jammer vind dat ik maar een klein flesje heb van China Glaze - Liquid Leather.

I thought it is nice to have a good quality simple black nailpolish. That is just exactly what Liquid Leather is, but.. I didn't knew that I would love it so much. People who wear dark nailpolish are practically always judged. I think that is absolutely unfair. Personally I think that black and other dark colors can be very chic instead of rebels. So now why am I sad.. the bottle is to small! :D

Ik dacht het is handig om een goede kwaliteit simpele zwarte nagellak te hebben. Dat is precies wat Liquid Leather is, maar.. Ik wist niet dat ik er zo van zou gaan houden. Mensen die donkere nagellak dragen worden vaak veroordeeld. Ik vind het absoluut oneerlijk. Persoonlijk vind ik dat zwarte nagellak en andere donkere kleuren heel erg chic kunnen zijn in plaats van rebels. Dus nu wat ik jammer vind.. Het flesje is te klein! :D

China Glaze - QT (Cutie)

Today I am wearing QT of China Glaze. I didn't stamp on it, because I need a simple manicure. This evening we have a little nailpolish party with girls in my class. It is as a start of the new year and because I can teach again after three months. I hope they will like the results and have a good time.

Vandaag draag ik QT van China Glaze. Ik heb er niet op gestempeld, want ik heb een simpele manicure nodig. Vanavond hebben we namelijk een nagellak feestje met de meiden van gym. Het is de start van het nieuwe jaar en ik kan sinds drie maanden echt weer alles lesgeven. Ik hoop dat ze de resultaten mooi vinden en dat ze het leuk vinden.

The strong points of this nailpolish is the drying time, it's opaque in one coat. But I always use two coats just to be sure. And it is very easy to remove. I did not even talked about the color and this great holographic effect. But it is sometimes difficult to see this effect, if there is no sunlight. That is too bad. Another point that I really dislike is the time till it will chip. I sport alot and after one training half of my nails is chipped. Really sucks. But overall it is a very good product, but just for one day. Or you have to 'repair' it, but then it will be not as beautiful as it is in the first place.

De sterke punten van deze nagellak is droogtijd, het dekt echt in een coat. Maar ik gebruik er altijd al twee uit gewoonte. En het is super simpel om te verwijderen. Dan heb ik nog niet eens gesproken over de kleur en het geweldige holografische effect. Maar soms is het lastig dit effect te zien, als er bijvoorbeeld geen zonlicht is. Dat is wel balen. Een ander punt waar ik niet tevreden over ben is dat het razend snel chipt. Ik sport veel en na een training is de helft van mijn nagels gechipt. Really Sucks. Maar overall is het een goed product, maar gewoon voor een dag. Of je moet het 'repareren', maar dan wordt het nooit meer zo mooi als dat het eerst was.

At this moment I am listing to something about communication. The teacher is pretty funny, what makes it more interesting. I am totally ready to start again. But I have to admit that I like it that I can sleep till 9 o'clock ;)

Op dit moment ben ik aan het luisteren naar een college over communicatie. De docent is best grappig, wat de stof wat minder droog maakt. Ik ben helemaal klaar om weer aan het werk te gaan. Maar ik moet toegeven dat ik het wel prettig vind dat ik kan uitslapen tot 9 uur ;)

Een leuke nagellak die prima is om te dragen naar je werk of naar school. Het is roze, maar niet 'te'.. Laten we eens kijken.

This was one of my first China Glaze nailpolishes. I thought that this would be most gorgeous pink that there would exist. I must say that there are now way more impresive pinks, but it has got still a place in my heart. That's why I want to show you it. Application is great and it is very easy to remove. The drying time is average, but not very slow. It is a cute pink color and I would buy it again with about any doubt.

Dit was een van mijn eerste China Glaze nagellakjes. Ik dacht dat dit de aller mooiste roze lak zou zijn die er bestaat. Ik moet zeggen dat ik nu vind dat er mooiere en indrukwekkendere roze lakken zijn, maar het heeft wel een speciaal plaatsje. Daarom wil ik jullie heb toch graag laten zien. De applicatie is prima en het is erg makkelijk om te verwijderen. De droogtijd is gemiddeld, maar niet erg langzaam. Het is een schattige roze kleur en ik zou het zo opnieuw kopen zonder twijfel.

Today I want to show you another China Glaze nailpolish. It's called The Ten Men from the Wizard Of Ooh Ahz Returns collection. I like this whole collection alot. But this one wasn't on my wishlist, but when I saw the bottle I knew it should be like Good Witch only the white version. That is correct. Love it. It is opaque, but because of the flash it seems not. Great nailpolish!

Vandaag wil ik jullie een ander lakje van China Glaze laten zien. Het heet The Ten Men van de Wizard Of Ooh Ahz Returns collectie. Ik vind deze hele collectie leuk. Maar deze was in de eerste instantie niet opgenomen in de verlanglijst, maar toen ik het flesje zag wist ik dat het zoals Good Witch zou zijn alleen dan in het wit. En dat klopt. Ik hou er echt van. Het dekt, maar door de flits lijkt het van niet. Geweldige nagellak!
