Artdeco - 90

Unbelieveble how someone can make you feel! I can't share too much details at this moment, but when it is possible I tell you the whole story. A friend of my offered to make a movie about it ;)

Ongelovelijk hoe iemand je kan laten voelen! Ik kan nog niet veel details vertellen op dit moment, maar zodra het kan vertel ik jullie het hele verhaal. Een vriendin van me boodt aan om er een film van te maken ;) kan je nagaan.

Today I am wearing a boring nailpolish of Artdeco, I thought it would be nice to wear something different than China Glaze or O.P.I., but I was wrong. Artdeco - 90:

Vandaag draag ik een saai lakje van Artdeco, ik dacht dat het wel leuk zou zijn om weer iets anders te dragen dan China Glaze of O.P.I., maar ik had t mis. Artdeco - 90:

I don't have to say so much, exept that it is an old old old grandma color. There is a little glitter/shimmer in the bottle, but non on the nail. Plus doesn't really cover, well I could have used another layer. But still this isn't a good color for me.

Ik heb er niet zoveel over te zeggen, behalve dat het een oud oud oud oma kleurtje is. Er is een klein beetje glitter/shimmer in het flesje, maar niets op de nagel. Plus dat het niet goed dekt, maar ik had nog wel een extra laagje kunnen gebruiken. Maar dan nog, dit is geen kleur voor mij.

Today everybody has got to go to work and I am going to do something very important to my research, because the results and conclusion are almost ready!

Vandaag moet iedereen weer aan het werk en ik ga iets belangrijks doen voor mijn onderzoek, want de resultaten en de conclusies zijn bijna klaar!

This is just a great nailpolish! I love the color because it is soft and sweet but not to pink. As you all know I love Diamond Cosmetics. It is pretty cheap, it has got a great structure, it dries fast, it is always pretty no matter what color and it (as far as I experienced) is also opaque, removing is a piece of cake and it is long lasting. Important to me, it is sold in Holland. (http://www.boozyshop.nl/)

Dit is gewoon een geweldige nagellak! Ik hou van de kleur want het is zacht en lief, maar niet te roze. Zoals jullie allemaal weten ben ik gek op Diamond Cosmetics. Het is best goedkoop, het heeft een goede structuur, het droogt snel, het is altijd mooi maakt niet uit welke kleur het is en het (zover ik nu kan beoordelen) altijd dekkend, verwijderen is super simpel en het blijft mooi lang zitten. Belangrijk oor mij, het wordt verkocht in Nederland. (http://www.boozyshop.nl/)

Rimmel - Coralicious

Goedemiddag iedereen

Today is the start of my lessons, I'm very excited and I hope the girls are too. I hope we can make it a good and sportive year!

Vandaag beginnen mijn lessen weer, ik heb er super veel zin in en ik hoop de meiden ook. Dat we er maar een mooi sportief jaar van mogen maken!

When I saw that the Kruitvat was having a sale I thought, oke.. Rimmel lacquers for half the prize, that's real nice. I took 6 of them. One of them:

Toen ik in de uitverkoop langs de Kruitvat kwam dacht ik, ach Rimmel lakjes voor de helft van de prijs, dat is toch wel leuk. Dus toen heb ik er volgens mij 6 mee genomen. Waaronder deze:

It's a coral color. On the photo it looks a little bit more dark then it is in real life, but you can see how bright it is. Like Ruby Me, it doesn't cover the nail complete, that's too bad. I have high expectations of Rimmel London and they aren't as good as you hope.

Het is een koraal-achtig kleurtje. Op de foto lijkt ie ietsje donkerder dan in het echt, maar het geeft wel een indruk hoe fel ie is. Net als bij Ruby Me dekt ie niet helemaal, en dat is wel erg jammer. Van Rimmel London heb ik dan toch wel hoge verwachtingen, maar die wordt niet waar gemaakt.

It is a color that I would like to wear, but with a Konad creation to cover the uncovered parts.

Het is wel een kleurtje wat ik zelf snel zou dragen, maar dan wel met een Konad creatie om dus te verbloemen dat ie niet helemaal dekt.

I have to sign my contract for my internship and after I'll have a fast diner and then to the gym.

Essence - What Do You Think

Hi everyone

Hallo allemaal

First, I'm sorry for the unannounced metamorphosis. I hate it when the layout of a blog is changed without a warning. But I was enthusiastic myself and so I wanted to make it matching and finish it before I could post again.
Now it shows what kind of messages I want to write. Joy, happiness, spring-feeling and special the passion for colors.
Soon there will be a little change in the background of the titel, but then I'm really finished. :)

Ten eerste sorry, voor de onaangekondigde metamorfose. Ik haat het zelf echt als een blog z'n hele layout veranderd zonder aankondiging. Maar ik was er zelf nogal enthousiast over en wilde het eerst mooi matchend en af maken voordat ik weer zou posten.
Het straalt nu in ieder geval uit wat ik wil overbrengen. Vreugde, vrolijkheid, lente-gevoel en vooral passie voor kleuren.
Er zal binnenkort nog iets veranderen aan het vlakje met de titel, maar dan ben ik echt klaar. :)

I promised that I would let you know what kind of order I had made, but I was doubting. There are so many choices. To motivate my self to stay focussed (study, gymnastics etc.). I may only order something if you did a very good job, and ofcourse I never know when that is going to happen, so then I start doubting which ones I want. I would like to try Essie, but I adore the new Orly collection, but I would also like to have some of the Neon colors of China Glaze. Or should I just buy Nubars... so many choices.. so many choises.. :P HELP

Ik zou jullie laten weten wat voor een bestelling ik had geplaatst, maar ik ging toch weer twijfelen. Er is zoveel keus hé. En om mezelf te motiveren om goed te blijven presteren (studie, gym etc), mag ik alleen iets bestellen als ik echt iets heel goeds gedaan heb. En ja, ik weet natuurlijk niet wanneer dat weer gaat gebeuren, dus dan ga ik twijfelen welke ik wil etc. Ik wilde bijvoorbeeld wel een Essie uitproberen, maar ik vind de nieuwe collectie van Orly super gaaf, maar eigenlijk wil ik ook nog wel de Neon kleurtjes van China Glaze. Of zal ik gewoon een Nubar bestelling doen... zoveel keus.. zoveel keus :P HELP

You know my opinion about Essence, but the same vision here again. Less money and more quality.
It color is very nice, bit coral, and I like that to wear.
Unfortunately the really missed there goal while inventing this name, there is no link between the name and the laquer/color. But this is a detail, I know. It's important that is good to wear and that it is long lasting. I wear this one on my toe nails and I stays very beautiful.

Mijn mening over Essence weten jullie nu wel, maar ook voor deze geldt het. Weinig geld en relatief veel kwaliteit.
Het kleurtje is erg leuk, beetje koraal-achtig, dat vind ik toch altijd wel prettig kleurtjes om te dragen.
Helaas hebben ze bij het bedenken van de naam een beetje de plank mis geslagen, er is totaal geen link tussen de naam en de lak/kleur. Maar goed dat is natuurlijk een detail en het belangrijkste is dat het goed te dragen is en dat het lang mooi blijft. Ik heb deze nu momenteel op mijn tenen en dat blijft prachtig lang mooi.

M29 Hawai

Lieve lezers,

Today a quicky. Just got back from Leiden, I've been to Corpus. Nice day out and a good test for me as a health-scienist-to-be, but I knew practically everything, lucky for me ;)

Vandaag een korte post. Ben net terug uit Leiden, ben naar Corpus geweest. Leuk dagje uit en goede test voor mij als aanstormende gezondheidswetenschapper, maar ik wist praktisch alles, gelukkig maar ;)

Today a new Konad stamping nailart creation. In a nice summer theme.

Vandaag nieuwe Konad stamping nailart creatie. In een heerlijk zomers thema.

For this creation I used Artdeco 262, after I used basecoat. If you want to make this Hawai manicure you'll need image plate M29. On this plate are different summer theme images like a hawai flower, palmtrees, a pineapple (!!!) and aloha! Next thing I did was stamping with special nailpolish dark orange and put the hawai flowers on to my nails. Very simple, but I like it. With this example you can see that Artdeco is fine to stamp on, even when the laquer itself isn't that great.

Voor deze creatie heb ik gebruik gemaakt van Artdeco 262, nadat ik gebruik heb gemaakt van een basecoat. Als je deze Hawai manicure wilt maken heb je image plate M29 nodig. Hier staan allemaal zomerse plaatjes op zoals het hawai bloemetje, maar ook palmbomen, een ananas (!!!) en aloha! Vervolgens heb ik de stempel nagellak dark orange gebruikt en hiermee de hawai bloemetjes op mijn nagels aangebracht. Erg simpel, maar ik vind ze leuk. Hiermee kan je ook zien dat artdeco prima is om op te stempelen, ook al is de nagellak zelf niet fantastisch.

M03 Three On A Row

Good morning everyone,

Goedemorgen allemaal,

Hopefully all of you had a good rest last night. Slowly I'm getting used to Holland again, but I still agree, it would be so nice to go back to such a heavenly island. So if there is anyone out here who feels the need to pay my holiday, then I love to hear that :)

Hopelijk hebben jullie net zo lekker geslapen als ikzelf. Het wennen aan Nederland gaat beter en beter, maar ik blijf er bij, het zou heerlijk zijn om terug te gaan naar zo'n zalig eiland. Dus als iemand de behoefte voelt een vakantie voor me te vergoeden, dan hoor ik het graag :)

Today I have planned a lot. In a minute I have to visit the optic to check my lenses. And for those who know me and think 'huh Melanie lenses'. Yes I have night lenses, I used them at night, the reform the curve of the eye and then your eyes are good for normal vision. Benefit is that during the day while sporting, what I do almost every day of the week, no irritating lenses and still shrap vision. I think it is superb.
After I have been to the optic I'll clean up my room, because it is not so big and then you'll have pretty soon a chaos. Then I will make 2 dances with ball and try to typ out some stuff for the selection. For the ones who think 'what is she talking about'. I am a trainer in ritmic gymnastics and I give courses to recreation groups, the plus group and the selection. At the moment this is my sideline job, because I study and when I am finished I am afraid that it won't be able to do a normal job an this one next to each other. BUT I won't worrie about that now, because it is at least 2 years away. But you know, sometimes time flies...

Vandaag een druk dagje gepland. Straks eventjes langs de optiek om mijn lenzen te laten checken. En voor de mensen die mij kennen en denken 'huh Melanie lenzen'. Ja ik heb nachtlenzen, en die doe je dus s'nachts in, vervormen de bolling van de oog en dan zie je dus de volgende dag scherp. Voordeel is dat je dus overdag tijdens sporten, waar ik natuurlijk erg veel mee bezig ben, geen gepiel hebt met die dingen en toch scherp ziet. Tja ik vind het ideaal.
Maar goed nadat ik dat heb laten controleren ga ik maar eens mijn kamertje opruimen, want het is niet zo groot en dan heb je al vrij snel het zwijnenstal-effect. En daarna zal ik voor de recreatie 2 bal oefeningetjes maken en proberen alvast iets voor de wedstrijdgroep uit te typen. Voor degene die nu denken, waar heeft ze het over. Ik ben trainster ritmische gymnastiek en hierbij geef ik recreatie, plus en wedstrijdgroepen les. Momenteel doe ik dit als bijbaantje, want ik studeer en zodra ik dat heb afgerond zal het waarschijnlijk niet meer helemaal samen gaan. MAAR daar gaan we nu nog niet over inzitten, want dat is nog minimaal 2 jaar weg. Maar ja.. tijd kan soms vliegen he...

That was enough philosophy. I have made, ow yes I think it's cute, nailart with Konad. I call it 'Three On A Row'.

Goed genoeg filosofisch gepraat. Ik heb een, ow ja ik vind hem schattig, nailart gemaakt met Konad. Ik noem het 'Drie Op Een Rij'.

It's very simple, but cute. I started, ofcourse, with a basecoat and after that I used Astor #56. On this is used Konad Special White and the nice open flowers of image plate M03. Plus an other time the littlest one diagonal under the other two. For this result you need to stamp 'diagonal', to do this you don't need to hold your stamp diagonal and difficult, but you just have to turn the image and then press it straight on to your nail as usual. It will take some practise, absolutely when you will do it on to your right hand, but then it turns out to be not as difficult as it seems to be. Good luck!

Deze is erg simpel, maar schattig. Ik ben uiteraard begonnen met een basecoat en vervolgens heb ik Astor #56 gebruikt. Hierop heb ik met Konad Special White de leuke open bloemetjes van image plate M03 er opgestempeld. Plus dan nog een keertje het kleinste bloemetje schuin onder. Voor dit resultaat moet je wel 'schuin' stempelen, hiervoor hoef je niet je stempel schuin en moeilijk te gaan vasthouden, maar je moet het plaatje gewoon draaien en hem dan recht over je nagel heen drukken zoals gewoonlijk. Het is wel eventjes aan te raden dit te oefenen, zeker voordat je je rechterhand gaat doen, maar daarna valt het best mee. Succes!

Astor - 56

The sun outside is delightful, but unfortunately I have to studie for tests for the next 2 weeks. But obviously I made a swatch for you. This time I will review Astor #56. It's quiet an old laquer. It's was my moms, but she gave it to me. A little while ago I thought that it was a bit a mature color, but when I made this swatch I actually liked it. Here it is:

Zo wat een heerlijk zonnetje, maar helaas moet ik studeren voor tentamens voor de komende 2 weken. Maar uiteraard heb ik tussendoor een swatch gemaakt. Dit keer zal ik mijn mening geven over Astor #56. Het is een redelijk oud lakje. Het was van mijn moeder, maar ze heeft het aan mij gegeven. Een poosje geleden vond ik het lakje nogal ouderlijk, maar toen ik de swatch maakte begon ik het eigenlijk wel mooi te vinden. Hier is het:

Because it is an old nailpolish the structure is quiet clotted, but I think when you buy it new the structure will be fine. As you can see it is a coral color and it will match all seasons. You can stamp well on it and it is long lasting. The covering is also good, but it doesn't apply so well but I explained that above already. Soon I will show you what I did with stamping nailart.

Omdat het een oude nagellak is is de structuur een beetje klonterig, maar ik neem aan dat als je deze nieuw koopt je hier geen last van zult hebben. Als je naar de foto kijkt zie je dat het een koraal-achtige kleur is en deze match met alle seizoenen. Je kan er prima op stempelen en het blijft mooi lang zitten. Ook dekt het goed, maar de applicatie is minder prettig maar dat heb ik hier boven al uitgelegd. Binnenkort zal ik laten zien wat ik gedaan heb met stamping nailart.
