It feels great to be blogging again! :)
Sometimes it is time for a change and that time is now. I am going to change my layout and the way I make my pictures. It's going to be alot of work, but I don't have to study or to work the next few weeks so I have alot of time to try things out. Do you prefer a background color or something? Let me know!

Soms is het tijd voor verandering en die tijd is nu gekomen. Ik ga binnenkort mijn layout veranderen en de manier waarop ik de foto's maak. Het zal veel werk zijn, maar ik hoef nu toch niet te leren of te werken dus ik heb de komende weken veel tijd om eens wat dingetjes uit te proberen. Hebben jullie misschien een voorkeur voor een achtergrond kleur ofzo? Laat het me weten!

These are so much fun! To be honest the quality is not as good as China Glaze or Zoya, but it is just fun :) The most important thing about this kind of nailpolishes: it works. The concept is very funny, but should be able to see the result. That is exactly what you see with this one. There is one little comment... because it works with hot and cold... if you life in a warm country.. you just see the 'hot' version. Another point: your nails need to be long enough to see the result. Conclusion: I love it, but you need to keep these two point in mind when you buy it.

Deze lakjes zijn zo leuk! Om eerlijk te zijn is de kwaliteit niet zo goed als China Glaze of Zoya, maar het is gewoon grappig :) Het belangrijkste met dit soort nagellak is: dat het werkt. Het concept is erg grappig, maar je moet wel het resultaat terug kunnen zien. En dat is precies wat je bij deze ziet. Er is wel een klein puntje waar je rekening mee moet houden... want het werkt met heet en koud... als je in een warm land woont.. dan zie je dus alleen de 'warme' versie. Een ander puntje: je nagels moeten lang genoeg zijn om het resultaat te zien. Conclusie: ik vind het erg leuk, maar je moet de twee bovenstaande punten wel eventjes in gedachten houden wanneer je van plan bent ze te kopen.

OPI - Jade Is The New Black

Lieve lezers

Wednesday I can finally go to the doctor in the hospital. It is now 8 weeks since I become ill and I lost 15% of my weight at this point and I still don't feel better. It is awfull, because I want to do so many things, but I can't because I don't have enough energy for it. Normally I paint my nails every day of once in the two days, but now I was wearing For Audrey for a week already. This morning I decided that it was time for a new manicure. I used Jade Is The New Black of O.P.I.

Woensdag kan ik eindelijk naar de specialist in het ziekenhuis. Het is nu 8 weken sinds ik ziek werd en ik ben ondertussen zo'n 15% van mijn gewicht kwijt en ik voel me nog steeds niet beter. Het is echt zo naar, want ik wil zoveel doen, maar dat kan ik niet want ik heb er gewoon niet genoeg energie voor. Normaal lak ik mijn nagels elke dag of om de dag, maar nu droeg ik For Audrey een week. Deze ochtend besloot ik dat het tijd was voor een nieuwe manicure. Ik heb Jade Is The New Black van O.P.I. gebruikt.

I love this color. The first time I bought O.P.I. nailpolishes this one was included. It is a very nice cream green. In two coats it is absolutely opaque and the drying time is very short. Ofcourse it is a pretty heavy color, so not really appropriate for work.

Ik hou van deze kleur. De eerste keer dat ik O.P.I. nagellakken kocht zat deze erbij. Het is een hele mooie creme groen. In twee coats is het absoluut dekkend en de droogtijd is erg kort. Natuurlijk is het wel een heftige kleur, dus niet geschikt voor op het werk.

Essence - Lime Up

Hoi allemaal

I think I am really ill right now.. but I still had to do so much so I did not gave myself a little time to rest, but now everything is over and I feel I just want to sleep. So maybe it is not a bad idea to go to bed early this evening. Here is Holland alot of people als sick at this moment, did you have the flu this year?

Ik denk dat ik nu echt ziek aan het worden ben.. maar ik moest nog zoveel doen dus ik gaf mezelf niet echt tijd om uit te rusten, en nu is alles voorbij en ik voel dat ik gewoon alleen nog maar wil slapen. Dus misschien is het geen slecht idee om vroeg naar bed te gaan vanavond. Hier in Nederland veel mensen zijn ziek op dit moment, heb je al de griep gehad dit jaar?

To cheer meself up I choose this great great nailpolish of Essence. I mean come on this is just hot!

Om mezelf op te vrolijken heb ik gekozen voor dit geweldige geweldige lakje van Essence. Ik bedoel kom op dit is gewoon hot!

I really think that Essence make very nice products at this moment! And this is a great example. The application is just so easy and it dries pretty quicky, but not too fast in my opinion. The color is like O.P.I. - Who The Shrek Are You, only cheaper. Sounds great right? I think it is a very original color and people will notice it fast ;) That is a promise. But if you are scared of bright and outstanding colors... then this is maybe not the right nailpolish for you. But for me it absolutely is!

Ik vind echt dat Essence hele goede producten maakt op dit moment! En dit is een goed voorbeeld. De applicatie is gewoon zo makkelijk en het droogt best snel, maar niet te snel naar mijn mening. De kleur is zoals O.P.I. - Who The Shrek Are You, maar dan goedkoper. Dat klinkt goed toch? Ik vind het een hele originele kleur en mensen zullen het snel opmerken ;) Dat is een belofte. Maar als je niet zo houdt van felle en opvallende kleuren... dan is dit misschien niet het juiste lakje voor je. Maar voor mij is het absoluut goed!

M12 Ruby Science Christmas

First of all: Merry Christmas to everyone!

Ten eerste: Fijne kerst allemaal!

I am very curious how other people celebrate christmas. This is what I am going to do today. First of all everybody will dress up in their pretty clothes and then with our family we sit down our christmas tree and give presents to each other and have some nice chocolate and other christmas candy. After that we go to my grandpa and grandma and there are also presents for each other and we finish with a great diner. Presents are always nice, but for us that is not what christmas is about. It's about being together with the ones you love!

Ik ben heel benieuwd hoe andere mensen kerstmis vieren. Dit is wat ik in ieder geval ga doen vandaag. Eerst komt iedereen is z'n mooie kleren en dan gaan we gezamelijk bij de kerstboom zitten en geven cadeautjes aan elkaar en er is altijd wat lekkers bij zoals chocolade, schuimpjes en andere lekkere dingetjes. Daarna gaan we naar mijn opa en oma en ook daar geven we cadeautjes aan elkaar. De cadeautjes zijn altijd leuk, maar voor ons is dat niet waar kerst omdraait. Het gaat er om dat je samen bent met degene waar je van houdt!

Ofcourse I made a christmas manicure, hope you like it as much as I do.

Natuurlijk heb ik ook een kerst manicure gemaakt, hoop dat jullie het net zo leuk vinden als ik.

I used the christmas colors red and green, but I wanted to be with glitter so I took China Glaze - Ruby Pumps and Orly - It's Not Rocket Science. This last one is by the way one of my favorite nailpolishes. The left sides of the nail are red and the right side is green. Just two layers of each. Then I used M12 which is a must have for the holidays I think! For my pinkie I choose the candycane, the christmas tree for my ring finger, for my middle finger I picked the bells and for my index I used the cute little snowman. On my thumb, not on the photo, I have got Santa and Merry Christmas, but I never photograph my thumb. For the stamping I used Konad Pastel Green and I think it is better then white, because this is a slightly better combination. I totally love this manicure because it contains my favorite nailpolish, it is in real christmas colors and the christmas images are very cute.

Ik heb gebruik gemaakt van de kerstkleuren rood en groen, maar ik wilde ook wat glitter dus heb ik gekozen voor China Glaze - Ruby Pumps en Orly - It's Not Rocket Science. De laatste is trouwens een van mijn favoriete nagellakken. De linkerzijde van mijn nagels heb ik rood gemaakt en de rechter groen. Gewoon twee laagjes van elk. Toen heb ik M12 gebruikt, waarvan ik vind dat het een must have is voor de feestdagen! Voor mijn pink koos ik voor de zuurstok, de kerstboom voor mijn ringvinger, voor mijn middelvinger heb ik de klokjes genomen en voor mijn wijsvinger gebruikte ik de kleine schattige sneeuwman. Op mijn duim, niet op de foto, heb ik de kerstman en Merry Christmas, maar ik fotografeer nooit mijn duim. Voor het stempelen heb ik Konad Pastel Green gebruikt en ik denk dat dit een betere keuze is dan wit, want dit een toch een betere combinatie. Ik vindt deze manicure erg geslaagd, want het bevat mijn favoriete nagellak, het is in echte kerstkleuren en de kerst plaatjes zijn erg schattig.

Orly - It's Not Rocket Science

This morning I went to the doctor with Paris, she needed her second vaccination. And she took it pretty brave! Ofcourse she didn't liked the needle alot and then she became a little stressed, but it was over within seconds. Now she isjust running through the house again like nothing happened this morning :) Love her.

Vanmorgen ben ik met Paris naar de dierenarts geweest, ze had haar tweede vaccinatie nodig. En ze heeft zich heel goed gehouden! Natuurlijk was ze niet zo'n fan van de naald en daarom raakte ze een beetje gestrest. Maar het was binnen no time voorbij. En nu rent ze weer lekker door het hele huis heen alsof er nooit iets gebeurd is vanmorgen :) Hou van haar.

When I orderd it I thought it would be oke, but not the greatest of them all. But it turned out that this is the nailpolish of the Orly Cosmetic collectie that I love the most. It is a heavy color, but I wore it for a week. It is so shiny and the glitters are really like glitters, but there is also a duochrome effect in it. I have to say this is a nailpolish that amaze me everytime again! I love it alot.

Toen ik deze bestelde dacht ik dat het wel een oke lakje zou zijn, maar niet de geweldigste van allemaal. Maar uiteindelijk bleek dat ik deze lak van de Orly Cosmetic collectie het alles mooiste vind. Het is een heftig kleurtje, maar ik heb het gedragen voor een week. Het glimt zo prachtig en de glitters hebben echt het effect van glitters, maar daar zit ook een duochrome effect in. Ik moet zeggen dat deze nagellak me nog steeds verrast! Hier hou ik echt van.

It is good to apply and there are no problems with bumps or whatever while I was giving training. Removing is more difficult, but like all other glitter nailpolishes I use foil and then there is no big effort needed.

Het is goed aan te brengen en er zijn geen problemen bij botsingen tijdnes mijn trainingen. Verwijderen is lastiger, maar zoals bij alle glitter nagellak gebruik ik folie en dan heb je er weinig tot geen moeite voor nodig.

I really recommend this one to you all!

Ik raad deze absoluut aan iedereen aan!

China Glaze - Paper Chasing

I've been writing this blog for already 5 months and I am so happy that I started it. I have got so many nice contacts and reacties from all over the world. My last new visitor is from Israel! That is amazing! I never expected this when I started. And in the mean time I have almost 200 followers and over 5000 views. Great!

Ondertussen ben ik alweer 5 maanden aan het bloggen en ik ben zo blij dat ik er mee begonnen ben. Zulke leuke contacten en reacties van over de hele wereld. Ik bedoel laatste nieuwe bezoeker kwam uit Israel! Geweldig toch! Dat had ik allemaal niet verwacht toen ik hiermee begon. En ondertussen heb ik alweer bijna 200 volgers en al ruim 5000 views gehad. Super!

This one is pretty sheer, but after 3 coats it is acceptable to wear. I think this one is oke, it is absolutely not my favorite, because green is just not my favorite color. But when I look at all the other points: it's cheap, it's opaque, it's easy to apply, it's easy to remove, it will last very long on your nails. So If you like green or if you are in need for a grass-green nailpolish, this will do it for sure!

Deze is best wel sheer, maar na 3 coats is het wel acceptabel om te dragen. Ik denk dat het een aardig kleurtje is, maar het behoort zeker niet tot mijn favorieten, maar dat is gewoon omdat groen niet mijn favoriete kleur is. Als ik naar naar de overige punten: het is goedkoop, het dekt, het is makkelijk aan te brengen, het is makkelijk te verwijderen, het blijft lang mooi op je nagels. Dus als je van groen houdt of als je een gras-groen lakje nodig hebt, deze doet het prima!

Nubar - Purple Beach

The last few days were so busy. That makes me so tired. I never felt so tired so many days in a row. But last night slept very well so that makes it a little bit better.

De laatste dagen waren zo druk. Het maakt me echt zo moe. Ik heb me nog nooit zoveel dagen achter elkaar zo moe gevoeld. Maar afgelopen nacht heb ik heerlijk geslapen dus dat maakt het wel ietsje beter.

Today I want to show you a very special nailpolish. It is called Purple Beach and it is of Nubar. I think it is very pretty but I needed some time to like it.

Vandaag wil ik jullie een hele speciale nagellak laten zien. Het heet Purple Beach en het is van Nubar. Ik vind het erg mooi, maar ik had wel tijd nodig om het echt mooi te vinden.

It is a real duochrome. I think the name is perfect, because the colors in this one are ofcourse purple, and green/gold. Just like the beach in the evening. I love Nubar nailpolishes, because of the structure and it remains beautiful for a very long period. It is that they are so expensive otherwise I would by all the duochromes!

Het is een echte duochrome. Ik vind dat de naam echt perfect is, want de kleuren hierin zijn natuurlijk paars en groen/goud. Zoals s'avonds op het strand. Ik hou van Nubar nagellak, want de structuur is geweldig en het blijft erg lang mooi. Het is dat ze zo duur zijn anders had ik alle duochromes wel gekocht!

I am going to finish some things today for my sport and swatch some more today, just got 10 NFu-Oh nailpolishes!

Nubar - Green Tea

Good afternoon dear readers

Goedemiddag lieve lezers

Today I worked everything out for my internship, o it's going to be so cool. It took some time and effort to get an extern internship, but I'm 100% sure I have got the best of all!

Vandaag van alles geregeld voor mijn stage, ow het wordt zo gaaf. Het kostte wat tijd en moeite om zelf een stage te regelen, maar ik weet 100% zeker dat ik een van de aller leukste stageplekken heb!

Tomorrow I have to follow a course about being a teacher for new teachers, but I don't really want to go, I'd rather teaching the girls tomorrow. But if I did this course I can teach new assistents and teachers how to give the gymnastic lessons and that part is not only very important, but it is very nice work. I like to show others what I'm passionate about.

Morgen een cursus volgen voor gym om begeleider te worden, eigenlijk niet zo'n zin, geef liever gewoon les. Maar als ik morgen gehad heb kan ik assistenten en nieuwe lesleiding begeleiden en dat is niet alleen belangrijk, maar ook nog eens leuk werk. Teminste ik vind het heel leuk om aan andere over te dragen wat mijn passie is.

Then now the passion of my dad: green tea.

My dad loves green tea and that's why I think the name of this lacquer is kinda funny. 'Should be healthy ;)'.

Mijn vader is gek op groene thee en daarom vond ik de naam van dit lakje wel erg grappig. 'Zal wel gezond zijn ;)'.

If it is healthy, I doubt it, but it is a fantastic nailpolish. The color is nice green, but not to fiercely. It is very simple to applie and you don't really need a second coat, just to make it a little bit more neat. But with one coat it would be still great.

Of het gezond is, ik betwijfel het, maar het is in ieder geval vaan fantastische nagellak. De kleur is lekker groen, maar niet te fel. Is hartstikke simpel aan te brengen en de tweede laag is enkel om het even netjes af te werken, maar hij zou ook al met een laag goed kunnen zijn.

I like this color so much that I used it for my banner. :)

Ik vond hem zo leuk, en daarom heb ik hem ook gebruikt voor mijn banner. :)

Shengji - 02

Everybody is in the mood for the holiday and that's why I wanted to show you a nailpolish that I get from my parents as a gift when they went to Jordan.

Iedereen is weer in de vakantie stemming en daarom vandaag een lakje wat ik van mijn ouders heb gekregen toen zij op vakantie waren geweest naar Jordanië.

This is a nailpolish of the brand Shengji, for me it is totally unknown. It isn't real good quality, but the color is a bit green/gold and that makes it nice enough for me. Konad stamping is working really well on this one and I remains beautiful for a long time. Only to reach to real color of this nailpolish you need at least 3 coats.

Het lakje is van het merk Shengji, voor mij in ieder geval totaal onbekend. Het is ook niet van waanzinnig goede kwaliteit, maar de kleur is beetje groen/goud en dat spreekt mij wel aan. Er is goed op te stempelen en het houdt erg lang. Alleen voordat je echt de juiste kleur hebt bereikt heb je minstens 3 coats nodig.

M64 Jamaica

Hi everybody,

Hoi allemaal,

I just had a wonderful day, this morning I worked and after that I just lay down in my backyard. At this moment I am busy with a book, Het Venetiaanse Huis, and it is not thrlling, but the relationships are so complex and so well written that you just want to read it non-stop.
That's why today I did not have time to do some swatches.

Ik heb een heerlijke dag gehad, vanmorgen wat gewerkt en daarna lekker in de tuin gelegen. Ben nu bezig in een boek, Het Venetiaanse Huis, en het is niet echt spannend ofzo, maar de relaties zijn zo ingewikkeld en zo goed uitgewerkt dat je eigenlijk non-stop door wilt lezen. Daarom ben ik vandaag ook niet toegekomen aan swatches.

With image plate M65 I made this green flower pattern on my, ugly, yellow etos color. The result isn't really showing off in this photo, but it's really blasting in real life, especially with some sunlight. And because of the color combination and the flowers I immediatley had to think about Jamaica. I would love to travel there some day!

Met image plate M65 heb ik deze groene bloemen gemaakt op mijn, lelijke, gele etos kleurtje. Het komt niet helemaal tot zijn recht in deze foto, maar het was echt een knalle kleurtje, vooral met zonlicht er op. En door de kleuren combinatie met bloemen moest ik direct aan Jamaica denken. Daar wil ik echt nog wel eens ooit naar toe!

I am going to make some meringue, tomorrow I will make my own strawberry icecream and for the crunch I will put my handmade meringue through it. I shall let you know if it did worked out the way it was meant to be.

Ik ga nu verder met het maken van schuimpjes, morgen ga ik namelijk zelf aardbeien ijs maken en voor de crunch gaan er dan zelf gemaakte schuimpjes doorheen. Ik zal morgen of overmorgen wel laten weten of het gelukt is.

Essence - Check Me Out

Today was a very nice day with a lot of sun and for me that means a nailpolish with a blast. This time I used Check Me Out of Essence:

Vandaag weer een heerlijke dag zon gehad en dat betekent voor mij lekker knallen met een gaaf kleurtje nagellak. Dit keer heb ik Check Me Out van Essence gebruikt:

Essence isn't so bad as some people say. Oke, the brush is maybe not very nice. This is round and I should help to make no mistakes, but in my point of view it just makes it harder.
But if we look at the photo, it is a beautiful green color and it does cover your nails. It isn't neon, but just nice intense. I think it's a nice product and it is very cheap.

Essence is helemaal niet zo slecht als soms wel eens beweerd wordt. Oke, het borsteltje is misschien niet echt ideaal. Dit is namelijk rond en zou het lakken moeten vergemakkelijken maar het vergroot juist de kans op fouten.
Maar als we kijken naar de foto het is een mooie groene kleur die mooi dekt. Het is niet neon, maar wel lekker fel. Ik vind het een mooi product en voor de prijs hoef je het uiteraard niet te laten!
