Everybody is in the mood for the holiday and that's why I wanted to show you a nailpolish that I get from my parents as a gift when they went to Jordan.

Iedereen is weer in de vakantie stemming en daarom vandaag een lakje wat ik van mijn ouders heb gekregen toen zij op vakantie waren geweest naar Jordanië.

This is a nailpolish of the brand Shengji, for me it is totally unknown. It isn't real good quality, but the color is a bit green/gold and that makes it nice enough for me. Konad stamping is working really well on this one and I remains beautiful for a long time. Only to reach to real color of this nailpolish you need at least 3 coats.

Het lakje is van het merk Shengji, voor mij in ieder geval totaal onbekend. Het is ook niet van waanzinnig goede kwaliteit, maar de kleur is beetje groen/goud en dat spreekt mij wel aan. Er is goed op te stempelen en het houdt erg lang. Alleen voordat je echt de juiste kleur hebt bereikt heb je minstens 3 coats nodig.

China Glaze - Strawberry Fields

Hoi allemaal,

Today I want to show you my, until now, favorite laquer. It's called Strawberry Fields of China Glaze. I just love pink, but this one has got a beautiful gold shimmer in the laquer. That is what makes this laquer so special pink, but everything that glitter in the sunlight is just made for me.

Vandaag wil ik jullie graag mijn, tot nu toe, favoriete lakje laten zien. Het is Strawberry Fields van China Glaze. Ik ben gek op roze, maar deze heeft ook nog eens een mooie goude glans door de lak. Dat maakt het dus een speciale roze lak, maar alles wat schitterd in het zonlicht is echt weg gelegd voor mij.

Like I said, I think this is an amazing beautiful laquer. It's really pink, but not too pink. Cause of the gold shimmer it's different from the other pink nailpolishes. Plus the name is like the sun and it makes you think about strawberries and a sunset.

Wat ik al zei, ik vind het echt een waanzinnig mooi lakje. Het is een echte lekkere roze, maar niet te roze. Door de goude glans onderscheidt het zich van de andere roze nagellak. Plus de naam is heerlijk zonnig en doet je ook wel denken aan aardbeien met een ondergaande zon.

I recommend this one to everyone who loves pink!

M64 Jamaica

Hi everybody,

Hoi allemaal,

I just had a wonderful day, this morning I worked and after that I just lay down in my backyard. At this moment I am busy with a book, Het Venetiaanse Huis, and it is not thrlling, but the relationships are so complex and so well written that you just want to read it non-stop.
That's why today I did not have time to do some swatches.

Ik heb een heerlijke dag gehad, vanmorgen wat gewerkt en daarna lekker in de tuin gelegen. Ben nu bezig in een boek, Het Venetiaanse Huis, en het is niet echt spannend ofzo, maar de relaties zijn zo ingewikkeld en zo goed uitgewerkt dat je eigenlijk non-stop door wilt lezen. Daarom ben ik vandaag ook niet toegekomen aan swatches.

With image plate M65 I made this green flower pattern on my, ugly, yellow etos color. The result isn't really showing off in this photo, but it's really blasting in real life, especially with some sunlight. And because of the color combination and the flowers I immediatley had to think about Jamaica. I would love to travel there some day!

Met image plate M65 heb ik deze groene bloemen gemaakt op mijn, lelijke, gele etos kleurtje. Het komt niet helemaal tot zijn recht in deze foto, maar het was echt een knalle kleurtje, vooral met zonlicht er op. En door de kleuren combinatie met bloemen moest ik direct aan Jamaica denken. Daar wil ik echt nog wel eens ooit naar toe!

I am going to make some meringue, tomorrow I will make my own strawberry icecream and for the crunch I will put my handmade meringue through it. I shall let you know if it did worked out the way it was meant to be.

Ik ga nu verder met het maken van schuimpjes, morgen ga ik namelijk zelf aardbeien ijs maken en voor de crunch gaan er dan zelf gemaakte schuimpjes doorheen. Ik zal morgen of overmorgen wel laten weten of het gelukt is.

Essence - Check Me Out

Lieve Lezers,

Today was a very nice day with a lot of sun and for me that means a nailpolish with a blast. This time I used Check Me Out of Essence:

Vandaag weer een heerlijke dag zon gehad en dat betekent voor mij lekker knallen met een gaaf kleurtje nagellak. Dit keer heb ik Check Me Out van Essence gebruikt:

Essence isn't so bad as some people say. Oke, the brush is maybe not very nice. This is round and I should help to make no mistakes, but in my point of view it just makes it harder.
But if we look at the photo, it is a beautiful green color and it does cover your nails. It isn't neon, but just nice intense. I think it's a nice product and it is very cheap.

Essence is helemaal niet zo slecht als soms wel eens beweerd wordt. Oke, het borsteltje is misschien niet echt ideaal. Dit is namelijk rond en zou het lakken moeten vergemakkelijken maar het vergroot juist de kans op fouten.
Maar als we kijken naar de foto het is een mooie groene kleur die mooi dekt. Het is niet neon, maar wel lekker fel. Ik vind het een mooi product en voor de prijs hoef je het uiteraard niet te laten!

Hema - 01

Dear readers,

Hoi lieve lezers,

Do you know this feeling? Holiday and just not understanding what you have got to do. I just had a very busy period behind me and I worked everday to many hours and now I don't have to do that anymore and now everything feels just worthless. The club has holiday, nothing to do for my study, so I'm really free. Maybe I get used to this, before everything starts again.

Kennen jullie dat? Vakantie en gewoon niet weten wat je met jezelf aan moet. Ik heb een enorm drukke periode achter de rug en elke dag hard gewerkt en dan nu hoef of moet ik niets en dat voelt gewoon zinloos. Bij de gym is het momenteel vakantie, heb niets voor mn studie en heb dus gewoon echt vrij. Nou ja.. misschien went het nog op tijd, voordat alles weer begint.

Today The hairdresser cut 45 cm of my hair. I like the result. Advise from your mom isn't always bad. I think everybody need some time to get used to my new look, but I'm happy with it.

Vandaag heb ik mezelf wel een nieuwe coupe laten aanmeten. Er is 45 (!!!) cm van mijn haar af. Maar al zeg ik het zelf dit is veel beter. Advies van je moeder dus niet altijd in de wind slaan ;) Voor iedereen zal het wel eventjes wennen zijn, maar ik ben er in ieder geval blij mee.

And that says it all, 1 coat! I was amazed, I have to admit. I mean, sorry, but nailpolish of Hema isn't the best. But I saw 3 colors in a sale-on-sale stand for 1 euro, so I took them. And I seriously like the color. It looks a bit like China Glaze Good Witch, but without the glitter and structuur.

En dat zegt het meteen, 1 coat! Ik was stom verbaasd moet ik bekennen. Ik bedoel tja sorry maar nagellak van de Hema is nou niet om echt over naar huis te schrijven. Maar ik zag 3 kleurtjes liggen in zo'n korting-na-korting-na-korting-na-nog-meer-korting-bak voor een 1 euro, dus die heb ik maar mee genomen. En ik vind het serieus nog een mooi kleurtje ook. Het heeft wat weg van China Glaze Good Witch, alleen zonder glittertjes en structuur.

China Glaze - BFF (Best Friend Forever)

Hoi iedereen,

I have finally vaction, but i'm still very bussy. I do interviews for research and I have to travel all across the country. Very nice job, plus the experience for later. It just takes alot of my time.

Heb ik eindelijk vakantie, zal je altijd zien, ben ik nog steeds erg druk. Ik neem interviews af voor een onderzoek en daar moet ik het hele land voor door. Erg leuk baantje plus ervaring op doen voor later. Alleen kost gewoon veel tijd.

My OMG collection is here. And the next laquer is just hot and if you look at the picture and you know me a little bit, you know why.

It's nice pink, totally made for me. It is holographic, love it. And it is very easy to apply and it won't chip with topcoat, triple wow.
I don't think there is something that needs to change.

Het is lekker roze, helemaal mijn ding. Het is holografisch, ook helemaal mijn ding. Het is makkelijk aan te brengen en het houdt lang met topcoat er overheen, ook helemaal mijn ding.
Tja ik vind dat er niets veranderd hoeft te worden aan dit lakje.

I heard that some people thought that these laquer are a bit boring, but I like it that it is, without the light, a calm laquer. But everybody has to define that for herself.

Ik hoorde dat sommige mensen deze lakjes beetje saaiig vinden, maar ik vind het juist wel mooi dat het zonder licht een neutraal lakje is. Maar dat moet iedereen voor zichzelf bepalen uiteraard.

China Glaze - Dorothy Who

Hey Everyone,

Hoi Allemaal,

Thrilling today! In 6 hours Holland plays against Spain for the Worldtitle. Ofcourse I hope that Holland will win, but we don't have an easy opponent, so that will be hard for our team! I'm ready!

Spannend spannend vandaag! Over 6 uur speelt Nederland tegen Spanje voor de wereldtitel. Uiteraard hoop ik dat Nederland wint, maar we hebben niet de minste tegenstander, dus dat wordt hard werken voor ons elftal! Ik zit er in ieder geval al klaar voor!

Because my orange manicure isn't ready yet, I'll show you a laquer of last week. I get a lot of positive responses about this one. Also from people who are not into the nailpolish. People said that they didn't know that a blue nailpolish could be this beautiful.

Omdat mijn oranje manicure nog niet klaar is eventjes een lakje van vorige week. Ik kreeg hier veel positieve reacties op. Ook van mensen die niet zo into de nagellak zijn. Veel werd gezegd dat ze niet wisten dat een blauwe nagellak zo mooi kon zijn.

I think it is an amazing color. I love outstanding color and glitter and special effects in nailpolish. And this is a good example. There are 3 coats needed for good covering. But it dries very fast, so it will not take all your time by using this laquer.

Ik vind het zelf echt een waanzinnige kleur. Ik hou wel van opvallende kleuren en glittertjes en speciale effecten in nagellak. En dit is er gewoon een goed voorbeeld van. Er zijn 3 laagjes nodig voordat het echt goed dekt en het het bedoelde effect geeft. Maar het droogt erg snel en daardoor duurt het even lang voordat het netjes op je nagels zit als bij een nagellak die met minder laagjes dekt.

Especially in the sun this one is hot, because the light comes from a determined angle and then you see this wonderful glittering on the nails.

Vooral in de zon is het echt super, want het licht valt natuurlijk van een bepaalde kant en zo krijg je een prachtige schittering over je nagels. Je kan ze niet missen!

The only negative point is, but it has nothing to do with the laquer itself, that it is not suitable for work. This too prominant.

Het enige wat ik wel een nadeel vind, maar goed dat heeft weinig met de lak zelf te maken, is dat het niet gedragen kan worden naar het werk. Daar is ie te opvallend voor.

M60 Orange Flower Pattern

It's nice that you visit my blog again.
I made my most important test ever (!!!), the sun shines and we need something orange for next sunday. I made this orange creation with Konad.

Leuk dat je weer een kijkje neemt op mijn blog.
Ik heb mijn belangrijkste tentamen ooit gehaald (!!!), de zon schijnt en we hebben een oranje manicure nodig voor komende zondag. Ik heb daarom deze oranje creatie met Konad gemaakt.

I used the Catherine Arley metallic orange laquer #138. I told you in a previously post, you can stamp on this one pretty well. Apparently with yellow. The result is a cheerfull manicure, but it won't be too much. Especially not in the summer.

Ik heb hiervoor het Catherine Arley metallic oranje lakje nummer 138 gebruikt. Ik vertelde al in een eerdere post, dat je prima hierop kunt stempelen. Zeker met geel. Het resultaat is een vrolijke manicure, maar het is niet too much. Zeker niet in de zomer.

I chose specially for this flower pattern. Simple because it match very well with the color combination and because the flowers are linked with spring and summer.
For this pattern you need image plate M60 of Konad and to stamp you need Konad special nailpolish Yellow.

Ik heb hier speciaal voor een bloemetjes patroon gekozen. Simpel omdat het goed matcht bij de kleuren combinatie en omdat bloemen voor mij gelinked zijn aan de lente en zomer.
Voor dit patroon heb je image plate M60 van Konad nodig en om te stempelen heb je Konad special nailpolish Yellow nodig.

China Glaze - Passion In The Pacific

Lieve Lezers,

Today again a wonderful polish from China Glaze. If it is correct I will receive practical the whole collection of OMG, so soon you may expect these on my blog. For now no holographic stuff, but a georgous turquoise color.

Vandaag weer een geweldig mooi lakje van China Glaze. Als het goed is krijg ik vanmiddag praktisch de hele collectie van OMG binnen, dus die kunnen jullie binnenkort verwachten. Voor nu dus nog eventjes geen holografisch gebeuren, maar een geweldig mooie turkooise lak.

Look... everyone has got to agree.. so beautiful turkquoise. And in the picture the light isn't very well, so if it does it will give a beautiful shine on your nails. Absolutely a color for the summer.

Kijk dan... daar moet iedereen het toch wel over eens zijn.. zo mooi turkoois. En nu valt het licht nog niet eens goed, kan je nagaan zo'n prachtige schittering op je nagels. Absoluut een kleurtje op de zomer.

It's easy to apply en in 2 coats it will cover your nails. Is it a proper lacquer to stamp on? I don't know.. I tried blue, but it wasn't nice. I will try in a while all my stamp colors on this one.

Het is makkelijk aan te brengen en in 2 coats is het ook echt dekkend. Een geschikt lakje om op te stempelen? Ik weet het niet.. ik had blauw uitgeprobeerd, maar dat stond echt niet mooi. Ik zal over een poosje eventjes al mijn stempelkleuren er op uitproberen.

A disadvantage is that you constantly stare at your nails, but if it is really a negative thing...

Het nadeel is dat je er zelf constant naar blijft staren, maar of dat echt een nadeel is valt te betwijfelen.

I will wrap my gifts for the game tomorrow. I know it's going to be a fun afternoon/evening. And after that I will prepare some things for my class for this afternoon. And tonight I will be in front of my tv ofcourse, hoping that Holland can win and goes to the finales. That would be amazing!

Ik ga mijn cadeautjes inpakken voor het spel van morgen. Het wordt vast een hele gezellige middag/avond. En daarna zal ik nog wat dingen voorbereiden voor mijn les van vanmiddag. En vanavond uiteraard voor de tv en hopen dat Nederland kan winnen en in de finale terecht komt. Dat zou wel echt heel gaaf zijn!

China Glaze - Happy Go Lucky

Good afternoon dear readers,

Goedemiddag lieve lezers,

Ow delicious, the rain is far far away and the sun is shining! Yesterday I bought 2 new bikinies so I will, after finishing this, lie down in my backyard with a good book.

Ow zalig zeg, de regen is weer ver weg en het zonnetje schijnt vol op! Gisteren 2 nieuwe bikini's gekocht dus straks lekker in de achtertuin zonnen/bakken/braden met een goed boek erbij.

I changed my room and while I was moving my furniture I, of course, broke a nail. The picture below is taken before the accident and the damage is not so bad, but I wasn't really happy about it.

Net heb ik mijn kamer indeling wat veranderd en bij het verslepen van meubels brak, uiteraard, een van mn nagels. Gelukkig is onderstaande foto nog van daarvoor en de schade valt opzich nog wel mee, maar was dr niet echt gelukkig mee.

The name.. that is just too cute. Plus that the color is matching with the name. A look at this nailpolish and you'll be happy. This is an example of a really good covering yellow nailpolish. Yellow is always a little bit more difficult then other colors because of the structure, but this one rocks!

De naam.. dat is toch te schattig voor woorden. Plus dat het lakje ook echt matcht bij de naam. Je wordt gewoon vrolijk als je naar dit lakje kijkt. Dit is nou een voorbeeld van een echt goed dekkende gele nagellak. Geel is altijd een beetje lastig door de structuur, maar deze slaagt met vlag en wimpel!

The benefits are that if you love yellow this one is a winner. The covering is beautiful, it's longlasting, it's a real creme so if you like that it is really a must have.

Voordelen zijn als je van geel houdt is dit echt een topper. Het dekt mooi, het blijft mooi lang zitten, het is een echte creme dus als je daarvan houdt is dit echt een must have.

Disadvantages are if you don't like yellow.. then you should not buy this one. An other loss is that if you look at my middle finger, there is a small piece not really yellow, this is because of the brush. Normally I'm very positive about the brush from China Glaze, but for this polish it wasn't working so well.

Nadelen zijn als je niet van geel houdt.. tja dan moet je dit niet in huis halen uiteraard. Een ander nadeel is dat als je kijkt naar mijn middelvinger dat er een klein stukje niet helemaal dekte, dat kwam door het kwastje. Terwijl ik normaal gesproken altijd erg positief ben over de kwastjes van China Glaze was het bij dit lakje toch niet zo handig.

Bourjois - Rouge Escarpin

UN BE LIE VE BLE!! We are through to the half finales! We beat Brazile, and how! The first half was as I expected, but the second half was like I was watching a whole different game. I don't know how you experienced this, but I thought it was really sensational!

ON GE LO VE LIJK!! We zijn door naar de halve finale! We hebben gewoon Brazilië verslagen, en hoe! De eerste helft was zoals ik het verwacht had, maar de tweede helft was net of we naar een andere wedstrijd zaten te kijken. Ik weet niet hoe jullie het vonden, maar ik vond het razend spannend!

And because they showed us that a simple team, from a small country, can reach many goals, today a nailpolish that is simple and achievable for everyone. (in the drugstore)

En omdat maar blijkt dat je met een simpel team, in een klein landje, toch veel kan bereiken vandaag een lakje dat ook simpel is en voor iedereen bereikbaar is. (via de drogist)

It is a beautiful deep red nailpolish. Bourjois is a valid brand. The bottle is original, but if you have slippery hands you can't open, or close, this bottle. It is not always nice to applie this one, but if you finally get it right on your nails, they are beautiful red. How long it will last really depends on your activities. If you sport alot they chip really fast.

Het is een schitterende diep rode nagellak. Bourjois is een degelijk merk. Het flesje is origineel, maar als je beetje vette handen hebt krijg je de dop met geen mogelijkheid open, of dicht. Het smeert ook niet altijd even lekker, maar als je het er eenmaal hebt opgekregen heb je prachtig rode nagels. Hoe lang het mooi blijft hangt echt van je activiteiten af. Als je bijvoorbeeld veel sport ligt het er binnen no-time af.

I wouldn't like to miss this one in my collectie, but that is purely because of the color. Would I buy it again with all this knowledge... yes.. but only if I have too much money left.. that says it all right?

O.P.I. - Pink Flamenco

Hoi allemaal,

What a day! Today I finished my last test in this heat, but tonight was even worse because I had to work in a airless gym. Beautiful place, but not with the heat of these days. But I survived and now a beautiful pink nailpolish of O.P.I.:

Wat een dag zeg! Vandaag mijn laatste tentamen gemaakt in deze hitte, maar nog erger ik moest vanavond werken in een verstikkend hete gymzaal. Prachtige zaal, maar echt niet uit te houden, laat staan sporten. Maar goed ik ben weer thuis, heb het overleefd en dan nu weer mooi roze van O.P.I.:

I just love pink and if you look at the bottle.. so pink.. and so big :) Plus it is so easy to applie the laquer, long lasting and just beautifully pink. It is not a neon, but a real pink creme. The name Pink Flamenco fits perfectly. Stamping is fine, but I personally like this nailpolish so much that I don't think it needs any nailart.

Ik hou gewoon van roze en als je alleen al kijkt naar het flesje.. roze.. en groot :) Daar komt bij dat het ontzettend prettig smeert, het blijft lang mooi zitten en het is gewoon prachtige tint roze. Het is geen neon, maar een echte creme roze. De naam Pink Flamenco is dus erg toepasselijk. Je kan er ook prima op stempelen, alleen het lakje is zo al erg mooi en dus vind ik dat niet perse nodig.

One negative point, I expected to be very quick covering. But after 2 coats je still see my nail under it. I think the solution is a 3e coat.

Een minpuntje, ik had verwacht dat het snel dekkend zou zijn. Maar na 2 lagen zie je nog steeds mijn nagels een beetje. Dus een 3e coat was misschien beter geweest.

O.P.I. is very expensive to buy in Holland and they have not so much choice. Ordering on internet is way better. If you have never done this before it is something you need to get used to, but I have made different orders by national and international webshops and I'm happy about all of them.

O.P.I. is erg duur om in Nederland te kopen plus dat ze relatief weinig keuze hebben. Je kan veel beter via internet bestellen. M02 Black Stars

Yesterday I recieved my first order of TransDesign. 18 super cool new laquers. Alot of pink, but also yellow, blue, turquoise and many more. I tested them and they were all gorgeous. Soon I'll swatch them.

Gisteren heb ik mijn eerste bestelling bij Trans Design binnen gekregen. Of te wel: 18 super gave nieuwe lakjes. Veel roze, maar ook een gele, blauw, turkoois echt van alles zit er tussen. Ik heb ze allemaal al snel uitgetest en geen een viel er tegen. Ik zal ze uiteraard ook swatchen binnenkort.

Today I want to show you how you can make 'something' of a very ugly nailpolish. That's why I used my most ugly laquer Etos 016:

Voor vandaag wilde ik eventjes laten zien hoe je van een lelijk oorsmeer lakje toch nog 'iets' kan maken. Daarom heb ik vandaag mijn meest lelijke lakje gebruik Etos 016:

I used Konad Black for stamping and the result isn't pretty, no absolutely not. But the black stars distract from the ugly laquer. It would even better if only the tip would be stamped, then you could cover how bad it covers. If you use stamping nailart, I personally believe that you should see the result easily. That works for this one.

Ik heb er met Konad Black op gestempeld en het resultaat is niet waanzinnig, nee absoluut niet. Maar de zwarte sterretjes leiden af van het verschrikkelijke lakje. Het zou nog beter zijn als alleen de tip gestempeld was, dan zou het minder opvallen hoe slecht het dekt. Als er gestempeld wordt vind ik wel dat de stempels op moeten vallen. En dat is hier het geval.

If you want to remake this one you need M02, Konad special nailpolish Black and base- and topcoat.

Als je deze na wilt maken heb je image plate M02, Konad special nailpolish Black en base- en topcoat nodig.

S04 Feng Shui

Aahh what a game! And we won! Oke the last goal is a pity, but we are through to the next round! Woehoe!

Aahh Wat een wedstrijd! En dan ook nog eens gewonnen! Beetje van dat laatste tegendoelpunt, maar ach we zijn door naar de kwartfinales! Woehoe!

Today not an orange laquer that will fit the day, but a Konad creation that I promised you.

Vandaag geen toepasselijk oranje lakje, maar wel een Konad creatie die ik nog beloofd had tijdens mijn tentamens.

There aren't many colors that will fit this grey blue nailpolish, but Pastel Violet is doing great.
I don't like it if people have to do a lot of effort to see what is on your nails. That's why I only use colors that really match each other. This one is relax but visible.

Er kunnen niet veel verschillende kleuren op deze grijs blauwe lak gestempeld worden, maar Pastel Violet doet het prima.
Ik vind het nooit zo leuk als mensen eerst heel moeilijk op je nagels moeten kijken wat er op staat. Daarom wil ik alleen duidelijke kleuren over elkaar. En dit is rustig en duidelijk zichtbaar.

Plus of course the whole idea that this nailpolish is taking care of my Feng Shui and a Chinese sign for 'prosperity'. That might help during tests.

Plus natuurlijk het idee dat dit lakje voor Feng Shui zorgt en een Chinees tekentje voor 'voorspoed'. Dat zou wel eens een steuntje in de rug kunnen zijn tijdens tentamens.

I like Chinese signs anyway. They are little and with details and that why I like image plate S04 so much, 7 nice signs that I will surely show you sometime.

Ik vind Chineze tekentjes sowieso leuk. Ze zijn klein en gedetailleerd en daarom vind ik image plate S04 zo leuk, 7 leuke tekentjes zien we ongetwijfeld nog langs gaan komen hier.

3,5 days and the I have my holiday. Nice thought, but I still need to work a bit.

Etos - 016

Today a yellow nailpolish, matching with the weather.

This is Etos #016 and it is.. horrible... Ow dear, if you look at the bottle it seems to be a nice blasting yellow color. And I love blasting colors and it is a cheap one. Until you put it onto your nails.. A girl in my class defined it as 'earwax on the nails'. Not really a must have.

Dit is Etos nummer 016 en het is... verschrikkelijk... Ow hemel, als je naar het flesje kijkt dan ziet het er echt lekker knalgeel uit. En ik hou van felle kleuren en tja voor de Etos prijs hoef je het ook niet te laten. Tot dat je het op je nagels smeert.. Een meisje van mijn les omschreef het als 'oorsmeer op je nagels'. Niet echt een aanrader dus.

But in case you like it here some positive and negative points:
Positive are that it applies nice, quicker drying. Stamping is fine.
Negative are the overall result, for the result on the photo you need at least 4 coats and I didn't look like it is ever going to cover. It dries 'into your nails'. I just looks like the nailpolish is going into your nails, not really nice to look at. Removing went pretty well after so many coats.

Maar voor het geval je het toch wat vind de voor- en nadelen eventjes op een rijtje:
Voordelen zijn dat het lekker smeert en snel droogt. Je kan er ook prima op stempelen.
Nadelen zijn het overall resultaat, voor het effect op de foto heb je minstens 4 coats nodig en het zag er niet naar uit dat het bij meer coats wel dekkend zou zijn. Het droogt 'in je nagels'. Het lijkt net of de lak in je nagels trekt, niet echt een lekker gezicht. Verwijderen ging wel verbazingwekkend makkelijk na zoveel coats.

I don't like it at all, but if you want it you have to visit the Etos. I can't really say something about other nailpolishes of Etos, because some are one-coaters and others are horrible as this one. That makes it complicated. You can't say that they are all good or all bad.

Tja ik vind het dus echt helemaal niets, maar mocht je hem toch willen hebben dan moet je bij de Etos wezen. Ik vind overigens dat de Etos veel verschillende kwaliteit lakjes verkoopt. Zo is de ene een one-coater en de volgende zoals hierboven niet om aan te zien. Dit maakt het natuurlijk wel ingewikkeld. Zo kan ik dus niet van te voren zeggen van nagellak van de Etos goed is of juist niet.

I'm going to study some more, 4,5 days and then I'm done.

O.P.I. Suzi Says Feng Shui

What a day... what a day... I just finished my statistics test and I worked months for that, toke extra classes and the pressure was huge. But I think I did a good job. Now still got nerves for the result.

Zo wat een dag zeg... wat een dag... Ik had vandaag mijn statistiek tentamen en daar heb ik maanden voor geleerd, bijlessen voor gevolgd en de druk was enorm hoog. De spanning dus ook, maar het is me volgens mij goed afgegaan vandaag. Nu dus weer spanning om de uitslag.

To keep myself relax I choose for the next laquer of O.P.I.:

Suzi Says Feng Shui, I love the name because it is very relax and then pretty blue. The most blue nailpolishes are blasting and very outstanding, but in this one there is some kind of grey shade that makes it calm. I thought tests, stress, now I can use some Feng Shui :p If it helped.. I don't know, but I hope I made it well!

Suzi Says Feng Shui, de naam vind ik al heerlijk rustgevend en dan zo mooi blauw. De meeste blauwe nagellak zijn knallend en zeer opvallend, maar hier zit een soort grijzige gloed in wat het rustig maakt. Ik dacht tentamens, stress, dan kan ik wel wat Feng Shui gebruiken :p En of het geholpen heeft of niet, of dat het gewoon door het harde leren komt, geen idee, als ik het maar gehaald heb!

As you could read above I am very enthusiastic about this laquer. The laquer of O.P.I. is great. Let me put it this way, when you used O.P.I. you don't want anything else anymore. The name is nice invented and it match well with the color. Long lasting and it gives a calm expression, but they have to notice you!

Zoals jullie al kunnen opmaken uit het bovenstaande stukje ben ik razend enthousiast over dit lakje. De lak van O.P.I. is echt waanzinning. Laat ik het zo zeggen, niets smeert meer zo lekker als je ooit O.P.I. hebt gebruikt. De naam van de lak is weer leuk bedacht en het matcht goed met de kleur. Het houdt goed lang en het geeft een rustige uitstraling, maar het valt wel op!

For my test I made Chinese signs with 'prosperity'. You can't bring enough luck. Soon I will show you the result, because I didn't took a picture of it yet.

Voor mijn tentamen had ik hier nog Chinese tekentjes met 'voorspoed' op gestempeld. Je kan nooit genoeg geluk meebrengen hé. Binnenkort zal ik deze laten zien, want ik heb er nog geen foto van gemaakt.

Disadvantages? There aren't many colors that fit for stamping on this one, but without stamping I still love this laquer. So it is a semi-disadvantage.

Nadelen? Er kunnen niet zoveel kleuren opgestempeld worden, maar gewoon zo zonder stempels vind ik het ook al een prachtige nagellak. Dus is het een beetje semi-nadeel.

I'm very tired, so I will make tea and a XL bucket with popcorn and I will be on the couche this evening. Tomorrow evening swatching-time :)

Miss Helen - 25

Hi everybody

Hoi allemaal

So I just had my first (of three) tests. I don't know if I made it, but I expected to be more difficult. I hope I can tell in 2-3 weeks that I made it. Tomorrow my second test, a very hard one, a lot of nerves and today doing the last study things and hope for the best. Wish me luck! It helpt for today!

Zo ik heb net de eerste (van de drie) tentamens gehad. Ik weet niet of ik hem gehaald heb, maar ik had hem moeilijker verwacht. Dus ik hoop over 2-3 weken te kunnen vertellen dat ik hem gehaald heb. Morgen nog een tentamen, maar dat is echt een moeilijke, dus veel zenuwen en vandaag nog eventjes hard leren en dan het beste hopen voor morgen. Duimen jullie weer? Het hielpt voor vandaag ook!

As you can see above Miss Helen 25. It is a brown laquer with a golden shimmer. But in the picture you can't really see the shimmer. It is really a color you have to love to like it. And it has to fit your skincolor. Then it can be a nice laquer. Natural with a shimmer.

Zoals jullie zien hierboven Miss Helen 25. Het is een bruine shimmer met een goude glans. Al is die glans moeilijk te zien in de foto. Het is echt een kleur waar je van moet houden om het mooi te vinden. En het moet bij je huidskleur passen. Dan is het best een aardig lakje. Neutraal met een glansje.

Positive points are that it is cheap, applies well, covering is good, long lasting, beautiful shimmer and you can stamp well on it.
Negative points are that it has to fit you and the removing part is tricky.
Overall a good nailpolish.

De voordelen zijn dat het goedkoop is, het lekker smeert, het goed dekt, vrij lang blijft zitten, mooie glans en er kan wel aardig opgestempeld worden.
De nadelen zijn dat het wel echt bij je moet passen en het verwijderen is lastig.
Overall een goede nagellak.

Essence - Space Queen

O so nice the sun and the high temperature! Unfortunately I have to stay inside because tomorrow will start my tests, difficult stuff. So no sun for my this week. 1 july is the last one and then I'll have a nice holiday.
Today a cheap brand that you can buy by Kruitvat (Holland) Essence:

Ow heerlijk he dat zonnetje en die hoge temperatuur! Helaas zit ik nog binnen want morgen beginnen mijn tentamens, pittige stof. Dus voor mij nog eventjes geen zon de komende week. 1 juli is de laatste en daarna heb ik lekker vakantie.
Vandaag een goedkoop merk wat gewoon bij de kruitvat te koop is Essence:

Space Queen is a transparant laquer with glitter in many colors. This is nice because you can were it like on the photo or you can wear in on a other nailpolish. I will show you that soon so you can see the celebratory effect.

Space Queen is een transparante lak met glittertjes in vele kleuren. Het leuke hiervan is, is dat je het gewoon zo kan dragen zoals op de foto, maar ook over andere lakjes heen. Dat zal ik binnenkort wel een keer swatchen en dan kan je zien wat een leuk feestelijk effect het geeft.

I'm personally happy with this nailpolish. It applies nicely, the glitters are good and I is pretty long lasting for a laquer of Essence. A annoying point is the removing part. Because of the glitters the wad of cotton wool will tear out and there allways stay some glitters behind that you can't remove. But this is happing with almost al the nailpolishes that contains glitter.

Zelf ben ik best tevreden over de nagellak. Het smeert wel aardig, de glitters vallen goed op en het houdt vrij lang voor een nagellak van Essence. Een irritant nadeel is het verwijderen. Door de glitters scheuren je watjes en de glittertjes blijven altijd wel ergens achter. Maar dit zal je bij veel nagellak hebben met glitters.

There is a rumour and I like to speak out my opinion against it. The laquers of Essence are sold for 1,29, but a low price doesn't always have to mean bad quality. I mean, ofcourse is the quality not as good as China Glaze of O.P.I., but for this amount of money it's good enough.
I hear some people say that it dries to fast, but I paint my nails with a normal speed and I never experienced this problem. My conclusion is that I think it is an good sugestion to start a collection of if you are young and you don't have much to spend.

Ik wil wel eventjes een gerucht uit de wereld helpen. De lakjes van Essence zijn maar 1,29, maar de lage prijs wil niet altijd zeggen dat de kwaliteit minder is. Ik bedoel, het is uiteraard een kwalitatief minder lakje dan China Glaze of O.P.I., maar voor het geld is de kwaliteit best goed. Ik hoor sommige mensen klagen over het feit dat het te snel opdroogt, maar ik lak mijn nagels niet razend snel en ik heb hier nog nooit last van gehad. Dus de conclusie is dat ik het toch een aanrader vind, zeker als begin van je collectie of als je jong bent en je gewoon nog niet zoveel geld te besteden hebt.

M36 Holographic Butterflies

Hoi allemaal,

For everyone who is now not watching Brazil-Ivory Coast, this swatch. The first were I used Konad Stamping Nailart.

Voor iedereen die nu niet naar Brazilië-Ivoorkust aan het kijken is een swatch. De eerste waarbij ik gebruik heb gemaakt van Konad Stamping Nailart.

As you can see I used IDK of China Glaze. This laquer is beautiful of itself, so I don't think it need any stamping on it. That is the reason why I used a small image. I also choose for the special blue nailpolish because this is matching well with the color that are in IDK. Important is that you use a topcoat. This is a protection for damage, but it also makes the nailpolish and the special nailpolish as one.

Zoals jullie zien heb ik gebruik gemaakt van IDK van China Glaze. Deze lak is van zichzelf al erg mooi dus ik vind het niet echt nodig om er ook nog eens op te stempelen. Dus vandaar dat ik een klein plaatje heb uitgekozen. Ook heb ik gekozen voor de speciale blauwe stempellak omdat deze kleur goed matcht met de kleuren in IDK. Belangrijk is wel dat je een topcoat hierover heen gebruikt. Dit beschermt tegen beschadigingen, maar maakt ook een geheel van de nagellak en de stempellak.

Konad Stamping Nailart is really a nice suggestion. It is, after some practice, not difficult and the possiblities are endlessly with images, colors and combinations of these.

China Glaze - Coconut Kiss

A quicky between all the activities.
A nailpolish of China Glaze:

As you can see it is a wonderful deep purple color, even if you don't like purple on your nails you still have to admit that this is a beautiful color.

Zoals jullie kunnen zien is het een prachtige diepe paarse kleur, ook al hou je niet van paars op je nagels, je moet nog steeds bekennen dat het een mooie kleur is.

There are only benefits about this nailpolish, because it applies very nice. China Glaze has got a very tall brush and this is very skilful. You can reach easily the places that are difficult or the places that you forgot. The covering is fine. If the sun is shining on this laquer it becomes irresistible. Plus that you can stamp on it very well.

Er zitten eigenlijk alleen maar voordelen aan dit lakje, want het smeert erg lekker. China Glaze heeft een mooi lang kwastje en dit is erg handig voor het smeren. Hierdoor kan je ook makkelijk bij plekjes komen waar je moeilijk bij kan of die je per ongeluk hebt over geslagen. Het dekt heel goed. Als de zon op deze lak schijnt is ie helemaal onweerstaanbaar. Plus dat het leuk is om er op te stempelen.

There is only one little point. If you look at the bottle you might think that it is a thick laquer, but it isn't, it is more watery, but that doesn't bring any real problems.

Sometimes you have days that not eveything is going the way you wanted, this is one of those days for me. But don´t be sad, we will review a cheerfull nailpolish and everything looks shinny (orange) again.

Soms heb je wel eens van die dagen dat niet alles gaat zoals je het graag zou willen, nou dit is dus zo'n dag voor mij. Maar niet getreurd, vandaag zullen we een vrolijk lakje bespreken en alles zal er weer stralend (oranje) uit zien.

I never heard about this brand before. I don't know if it is a big brand of something, but it was a gift from my parents when they came back from their trip around Italy. As you may know.. my favorite colors are definitely pink and... ORANGE! It is an easy laquer to bring on to the nails, it dries nice and fast and there is some metallic shine. If you take a look at the picture it seems to cover badly but because of the shine it doesn't look this way in real life. I think the shine is a big benefit.

Ik had nog nooit van dit merk gehoord. Ik heb geen idee of het een groot merk is of niet, maar het was een cadeautje van mijn ouders toen ze terug kwamen van hun rond reis in Italië. En zoals je misschien wel weet.. mijn favoriete kleuren zijn absoluut roze en... ORANJE! Het is een makkelijk lakje om aan te brengen, het droogt snel en er is een metallic glans. Als je naar de foto kijkt lijkt het echt slecht te dekken, maar op een of andere manier zie je dit niet in het echt en dit komt door de glans. Ik denk dus echt dat dit lakje het van de glans moet hebben.

I have no idea if you can buy it in Holland or on the internet.. but what is more beautiful than a nailpolish that is given to you with love?!

Ik heb geen idee of je dit in Nederland of op internet kan kopen.. maar wat is er nou mooier dan een nagellak die met liefde is gegeven?!

One thing is for sure. Tomorrow our national Dutch team will make sushi out of Japan and I'll support them with my orange manicure!

Astor - 56

Good afternoon everyone,

Goedemiddag allemaal,

The sun outside is delightful, but unfortunately I have to studie for tests for the next 2 weeks. But obviously I made a swatch for you. This time I will review Astor #56. It's quiet an old laquer. It's was my moms, but she gave it to me. A little while ago I thought that it was a bit a mature color, but when I made this swatch I actually liked it. Here it is:

Zo wat een heerlijk zonnetje, maar helaas moet ik studeren voor tentamens voor de komende 2 weken. Maar uiteraard heb ik tussendoor een swatch gemaakt. Dit keer zal ik mijn mening geven over Astor #56. Het is een redelijk oud lakje. Het was van mijn moeder, maar ze heeft het aan mij gegeven. Een poosje geleden vond ik het lakje nogal ouderlijk, maar toen ik de swatch maakte begon ik het eigenlijk wel mooi te vinden. Hier is het:

Because it is an old nailpolish the structure is quiet clotted, but I think when you buy it new the structure will be fine. As you can see it is a coral color and it will match all seasons. You can stamp well on it and it is long lasting. The covering is also good, but it doesn't apply so well but I explained that above already. Soon I will show you what I did with stamping nailart.

Omdat het een oude nagellak is is de structuur een beetje klonterig, maar ik neem aan dat als je deze nieuw koopt je hier geen last van zult hebben. Als je naar de foto kijkt zie je dat het een koraal-achtige kleur is en deze match met alle seizoenen. Je kan er prima op stempelen en het blijft mooi lang zitten. Ook dekt het goed, maar de applicatie is minder prettig maar dat heb ik hier boven al uitgelegd. Binnenkort zal ik laten zien wat ik gedaan heb met stamping nailart.

In the afternoon I have got to give a difficult presentation, always nice when someone of the group is not doing her job. But I painted my nails with one of the most beautiful nailpolishes on earth. Maybe this day isn't totally ruined by this presention :)

Vanmiddag moet ik een moeilijke presentatie geven, altijd fijn als iemand uit de groep zijn werk niet doet. Maar ik heb mijn nagels gelakt met het een van de mooiste nagellak die er bestaat. Misschien is deze dag niet helemaal verpest door deze presentatie :)

I love the name, how do they invent those names! The color is amazing. If you take a look at the picture you can see that it is a holographic laquer, but with less light it will become a peaceful grey/lilac color. BUT when the light comes, everyone has to take a look at your nails, because they can't miss it ;)

Ik hou alleen al van die naam, hoe bedenken ze het he! De kleur is fantastisch. Als je naar de foto kijkt zie je dat het een holografisch lakje is, maar als het licht weg is wordt het een heel rustig neutraal grijs/lila kleurtje. MAAR als het licht er op schijnt, iedereen moet dan gewoon naar je nagels kijken, want ze kunnen het niet missen ;)

Benefits of this laquer are that it is nice and easy to apply and it dries pretty fast. On top of that it is a very calm nailpolish that you can wear anywhere, but with a little extra. The brush of China Glaze is nice tall, but I think that there are many opinions about this, but I see it as a benefit. The laquer last long, but if you want to remove it, it's very easy to do.

Voordelen van dit lakje zijn dat het een mooie kleur heeft het makkelijk aan te brengen is en het best snel droogt. Hier komt bij dat het een rustige kleur is die je overal kan dragen, maar wel met dat kleine beetje extra. Het borsteltje van China Glaze is mooi lang, maar ik denk dat de meningen hierover wisselend zullen zijn, maar ik zie het als een voordeel. De lak blijft lang mooi, maar als je het wilt verwijderen gaat dat erg makkelijk.

Disadvantages.. At this moment I have no comments.

Nadelen.. Op dit moment kan ik niets bedenken.

Hoi Allemaal,

Here is my first swatch of Artdeco.

Hierbij mijn eerste swatch van Artdeco.

I have this polish for a while now and I'm happy with it, but it really has disadvantages. Benefits are that it is a beautiful color and you can stamp well on it. Disadvantages are that you need at least three coats and it still doesn't cover your nail. The laquer is also a bit watery and because of that it dries very slowy.

Ik heb dit lakje voor een poosje nu en ik ben er op zich wel tevreden over, maar het heeft ook echte nadelen. Voordelen zijn dat het een mooie kleur is en dat je er goed op kan stempelen. Nadelen zijn dat je minstens drie laagjes nodig hebt en het dan nog steeds niet dekt. De lak is ook een beetje waterig van structuur en daarom droogt het erg langzaam.

But I still like the color and that's why I keep using it, but if you want to you need alot of time.

Maar ik vind het een mooie kleur en daarom zal ik hem ook wel blijven gebruiken, maar als je het wilt heb je wel veel tijd nodig.
